Hey guys- been lurking around here for a couple weeks now really soaking up a lot of info and I think I am ready to pull the trigger on a notebook.

@Donald@HIDevolution just walked me through all the options for the P670RS-G and provided a lot of helpful insight and advice! He was super helpful actually and geared towards getting me what I needed and not pushing me to spend more.

    Think im going with...
1920x1080 FHD panel w/calibration and 30 day dead pixel warranty
    GTX 1070
    i7-6820HK (with Coollaboratory Liquid)
    16 gb G SKillz 3000MHz
    256 GB SATA SSD
    1 TB HD
    and a 2 yr warrenty

This community here is really great and supportive. Anyway just wanted to toss my hat in.

thanks and welcome to the EVOC team bro. You can use my Signature and logos as a template if you want and edit it to your laptop model and specs

Great specs by the way and Mr. Donald is awesome, as you said, he chooses what's best for the customer not what would bring them more money.

Yeah I played with a bunch of different builds of a few different models over and over and I think this is it lol

Was tempted by the P870DM2 and torn between the two. I liked the appeal of the delidded desktop processor and 120hz screen. But it looks like it would run 500$ - 550$ more than the P670rs-g with the specs I'd be looking at.

The P670RS-G is a beautiful machine and I have a feeling it will be all and more than I need. I just want this laptop to serve me well through the next few years, and not feel overly dated. There's just the inclination to go for "overkill" lol ya know ??

I always go overkill even though most what I do on a laptop is surf the web on forums and YouTube. Your machine is awesome and should last you for years to come.
