I wanted to publicly thank and commend JP, Justin, and Brett from Xotic for their help and support. Due to my own procrastination and the fact that it was a holiday weekend, I was unfortunately unable to take advantage of the wonderful customer service they tried to provide and ultimately ordered my laptop from Malibal. Nevertheless, had I stayed up and checked my e-mail maybe and hour or two after I went to bed last night, I'd likely have ended up ordering from Xotic (they agreed to match Malibal on a few things). The fact that these three gentleman were working at all over the holiday weekend is impressive and again, I appreciate their intent and dedication, even though my particular situation did not allow me to capitalize on it.

Although I've not been on here much, reading the various threads and having had some contact with both Xotic and Malibal folks, I ended up feeling as if I were choosing between two friends. The sense that I get is that you really can't go wrong with either company, at least in the service realm.

Thanks again to Justin, Brett, and JP!

It was a pleasure working with you Corillien! Ultimately the decision is up to you of course, being the consumer, but I'm glad you got what you needed regardless :)

Just a brief update... for various reason, I ended up canceling my order with Malibal and went with XoticPC. My positive experience with the Xotic folks continued beyond what was discussed above, as they worked with me to match various deals, etc.

Unfortunately, it's been a crazy time of year with the holidays, work, and school so I'm not able to go into much more detail at the moment. When things clear up, I'll try to come back and give a more extensive review. Suffice to say, a positive ordering/customer service experience and so far so good with the computer - hope saying so doesn't jinx it though!
