Xotic PC Sager NP9752 Order

Just thought I would post my experience so others know what to expect.

2/5: Placed an initial order with Xotic PC. Get automated email confirming order. Later that day, I leave a message to add rush status. Order status "Phase 0."

2/6: Confirm billing details and rush status with Susan; get an email confirming rush status. For rush orders of Sager notebooks it looks like expected time to ship is 3 to 7 business days. Get an email indicating order status is now "Phase 1."

2/10: Get an email indicating order is still in Phase 1.

By my reckoning today (2/13) is either the 5th or 6th business day since the order, depending on how you count. Hopefully the order moves to Phase 2 soon - but hopefully I don't get a "Friday afternoon" assembly job!

Derek and Susan were easy to work with as far as getting the order placed. Some of the automated email text is ambiguous or doesn't really look like it applies to Sager notebooks. It would have been easy for me to misinterpret the emails and expect shipping in 1 to 4 business days.

2/13: Get an email indicating order is now in Phase 2.

2/16: Get an email indicating order has shipped; expected delivery 2/18.

2/18: Order arrived.

 

Go ahead and email me your order number. I want to take a look into your order and see how it's going.

Got an email this afternoon indicating that order had moved to Phase 2 (Sager Build and Assembly). I will update OP with date.

 

Order shipped as of early this morning. Expected delivery 2/18.

The Rush Order service says 1-4 business days. Yours took more than a week. Do you think it's worth it? Curious how long an order without it will take...

I didn't pay extra for this service, but I can still change it... I did not use Wire Transfer (Bank) to pay because that takes up to 3 days to process, and I'd only save like $50. I used a Credit Card, which is 1 day processing (according to Patrick @ XoticPC). So, that saves me 2 days already. He also said these systems are in stock.

It seems like most of the reviews I've read of XoticPC have a lot of complaints regarding shipping times. That's a shame. I really need my computer. Living without one at home is so difficult these days... I'm on my cell phone 24/7 struggling with webpages, etc.

 

What I have found is that getting a laptop from Sager through Xotic, the longest part has been the billing. Once my billing was processed and the order went to inventory gathering, they shipped the laptop the next day. You could get unlucky if they have stock issues or they are really busy with making other systems though.

 

Build and ship times can vary especially depending on the time of year as some are busier then others. You can let us know how your process goes and that will give people a good idea of current times.

 

Oh, I see. That makes sense. Mine actually just went through billing and is already in the inventory stage (on the first day). Looking good so far. I went ahead and added the Rush Order Service as well.

I don't think they quote 1-4 business days for Sager. You have to read the fine print carefully, but I think they actually quote 3-7 business days for that brand.
