If I want to ship a Sager NP8150 to Canada what option should I chose.

I remember somewhere that some options have hidden costs

UPS Ground 3-7 Business days $57.00
UPS Express 1-4 Business Days (Avoids UPS Brokerage Fees) $129.00
UPS Express Expedited 1-4 Business days (Avoids UPS Brokerage Fees) $139.00
    USPS Priority Mail $79.00

UPS only charges brokerage fees with Ground. Express and Express Expedited already have the brokerage fee worked in.

USPS usually does also charge brokerage fees but not as much as UPS does.

Check out this page to get an idea of what the total price will be http://www.thefinalcost.com/shipments/calculate/
That page will show brokerage fees no matter which UPS option you pick but again you will only have to pay those for Ground. The other options available will not have brokerage fees due.

Cool, that's a pretty handy site. I guess that hidden "Conversion" fee it mentions could also be avoided if we use the cash/cheque discount option for payment, too, eh?

    Well, depending on the bank.

The description claims that it's a fee the credit card company tacks on in addition to the conversion:

"This is somewhat of a hidden fee. When you purchase something on a US website with your credit card, your credit card company will add 0.025 to the actual exchange rate as a
currency exchange fee. It is equal to 2.5% of the item and shipping cost. "

That said, I do most of my ordering from Canadian sites so I'm not sure whether this is a real fee that hits me or not.

I see, I didnt read the description. I have ordered items from overseas personally and have had a foreign transaction fee charge by the card so you're probably right.

Of note, there are credit cards out there that have free foreign transaction conversions (no fees). I can't list them here due to forum rules but it's worth checking around. I always use that one when traveling.
