Last week I received my new 8130 (Specs are in my signature) from Xoticpc and just wanted to let others know of my experience.
There have been many reviews of the 8130 here on the forums, and I doubt I can do do better than what has already been posted, so I want to limit my comments to mainly my purchasing experience. The system is great...It arrived in 100% condition with all accessories. The 95% matte screen is well worth the extra cash as is the dead pixel guarantee IMHO. Knowing there is one dead pixel in the upper or lower corner drives me insane :)
I did have a slight problem getting the fingerprint reader to work until I realized that the little blue plastic covering over the scanner needs to be removed first (I'm such a noob). Now onto Xoticpc.........
I could not have picked a worse time to order a new system if I had tried:
First I made my purchase on Cyber Monday. This is a time where most retailers are either out of stock or close to it from the mad Christmas holiday rush. As in my case I had to wait for the Bigfoot Killer cards to arrive. Next, my initial salesman (JP) decided to pursue other interest and Hutsady had to step in mid-stream to take over my account. I have to give him credit for taking my phone calls and dealing with an inpatient customer while I was trying to decide whether to keep waiting for the Bigfoot card or make a different selection. Now add onto all this, the company was in the middle of moving to a new location. At one point not realizing with whom I was sending private messages, I spoke with Justin about my concerns. He assured me that all was well and if I selected a different wireless card, he would get my system moved into phase 2. Only later did I realize Justin is the owner of Xoticpc. I am no spring chicken, so the thought that the owner of a company would actually take the time to speak to a customer (when he has a sales staff to take care of that) is not as common as it used to be. After waiting for what seemed an eternity, I had grown inpatient and decided to change my wireless card selection. I called and spoke with Hutsady and he made the necessary paperwork changes. Now get this, on the same day I regretted my decision and again called Hutsady to ask about the ETA of the Bigfoot cards. He told me that he was getting ready to give me a call since the cards had just arrived at the company. I immediately asked that he again change my order back to the Bigfoot card, and he did so without a problem - No sounding of disgust or impatience in dealing with me several times over the past couple of weeks. As you can see in my signature, the construction and delivery phases went very quickly once all the parts were available.
So at the end of the day I am a happy camper with my new system, and VERY PLEASED with Xoticpc and the service I received from the sales staff and owner, both since I placed my initial order all the way thru to the phone call I just recently made to Hutsady about my fingerprint reader issue.
Would I recommend Xoticpc to others: Yup
Would I purchase again from Xoticpc: You betcha.

Nice to hear. I am always impressed when the owner actually cares enough to help out. I run a company, and I get that same support when needed. It not only helps the customer, but my employees get a kick too. And it shows you that although a lot of owners talk the talk about customer service, some owners actually walk the walk. Nice review of the company, and good job by the company. I didn't buy my lappy from them, I bought it from Sager, but when I need my next one, I will look at xotic big time since I have followed the Sager/Clevo threads for over a year now. Great job!!!

Yup, Xotic is great. Even though I ordered from PNB, Hutsady was always willing to help with my questions very genuinely.

And from what Im seeing, the other Xoticpc reps are awesome too.

Many potential buyers are very picky and needy like the OP (and me). Its always great to hear when they get exactly what they had in mind while being treated accordingly by the manufacturers/sellers. It sucks when seeing customers being treated bad while buying Clevos. We are spending thousands on a machine we can only see on youtube and read about on forums so it just makes buying a much better experience when the re-seller gives you a peace of mind.

    TL/DR; Good job Xotic

Thank you for the great feedback! As you mentioned in it there was alot of stuff going on when you purchased your computer.
We really do appreciate your understanding about the delays that came up. The large amount of orders from black friday, moving into a new location, parts being out, having to switch sales reps in the middle of an order, oh man that's enough to drive anyone crazy.
Happy we could get it all work out with you and even happier to hear the computer is just as you hoped it would be.
