    hi all!
    i have trouble (big broblem)
i have notebook p870km with bios from DSANKE and CPU 8700 not k version
my GPU buy on Ebay from different notebook (p870km, p870dm2\3)
in single mode if i install one Video card - both NVIDIA GTX1070 working very fine (all stress test pass), but if i put in slave MXM slot secondary video card (it doesnt matter which one), master card working fine, define in GPU-z, slave (secondary) GPU - in task manager only as 3D video controller and drivers not instal in automatical mode. i install without driver signature (I chose the same driver as the first video card). both gtx1070 visible in Task manager and GPU-z but SLI mode in nvidia control panel is missing/ i cannt enable sli mode.
problem in card identification by nvidia driver.
i try flash many vbios - no success...
pci id cards are different - first 10DE 1BA1 and secondary 10DE 1BE1
i programming SPI flash in 1BE1 GPU vbios From 1BA1 - anyway chip define how 1BE1...
subsystem both video card are same

Without sli bridge secondary GPU not recognise by video driver?
Sli bridge i put from dell alienware m18x r2 nvidia sli system. It must be identical with others sli bridges by pinout. I had to fold the wire several times...
I think gpu must recognize automatically by video driver both graphics cards. My secondary card driver not install automatically, only with hard introduction.
Someone can tell where the master is the additional power of the video card and where the slave is the power. On the board it is written but I can not understand for sure (foto or picture).

Either it's the cable or slot then. Have you got the power cable plugged in?

Yes. of course I connected the video card power cable (both GPU power cable, i try swap with each other ).
How i can check the MXM slave slot (video card is visible in device manager as 3d video adapter? after installing hard driver - GPU-z monitoring all parametrs wery well - clocks, shaders, etc, HW info also recognize second video card with no sign. driver)? but for use secondary GPU i need Activate SLI technology, in cotrol panel nvidia is not preset SLI activation/deactivation
maybe a problem in the main BIOS? How can I flash p870km at p870tm (need flash utility or need spi programmer)?

Then I think the sli cable is having an issue, that's usually the cause of not being able to switch.

The drivers can install and the GPUs can work without a sli cable, but not together and there will be no ability to enable SLI that shows in nv ctrl panel.

You can use a cuda program with an option to run specifically on GPU2 - GPUPI is one I can think of - to check the slave is working OK on its own.

If the slave can install drivers and can complete a workload then your issue is either the sli cable, or the different device IDs of the cards - you might have to look into whether its possible to flash a gsync Clevo 1070 (1BE1) bios onto the slave card. Shouldn't be an issue since the slave isn't using its display out but idk.

When I was modding my P370EM with different sized cards the long SLI ribbon cable went funny at one point as it was twisted and squashed up against the edge of an inductor, relieving that with a wad of foam fixed it, they are fragile and I wouldn't be folding/unfolding them too often. A SLI cable from the P870DM2/DM3/KM/TM - any P870 except for the original P870DM(-G) - is what you need

thanks for answers my friends :)
i try flash first and secondary video card many times (GOP old Gop new, with g-sync, without g-sync) - no success. i flash with spi prigram vbios from master card but she recognize also 1be1 not 1ba1... id information maybe in another chip or in BGA...
ok i try fing program for using slave gpu.

i reinstall system - win 10 in legasy mode. when i install manually driver for second card as first (master) card - nvidia control panel Whrite 2xgtx1070 graphics v.419 bus SLI menu not preset.

Sounds like the card could be faulty too but check the contacts in the slot for dust and the card edge for dirt.

Contacts is clean. in master slot both GPUs working and recognize properly! 3dmark over 15000k points, furmark - ok. BGA chips is ok, maybe problem in sli iterface. I order secondary GPU heatsink and original SLI bridge...
When I receive the package (1 month), I will try to install and check again two video cards.
if not still working, this will mean that the problem is in the interface (incompatibility) of the video card or in the motherboard...

Did you simply try to put a mxm into slave slot alone (instead of master slot ) ?
If it is working then its your cable.

@TheDantee had the same problem but for him the GPUs worked after a manual install. He uninstalled the driver using ddu and reinstalled them.

Try this before considering anything being faulty.

hi!. I bought original new parts for my laptop. This is the SLI cable and the secondary heatsink. I installed it all. SLI settings not available to me. I tried the test program PhysX Fluid Mark and the second video card was loaded by 30%, the first by 70%. in the driver put PhysX load on the second video card. Thus, the video card works, but the SLI mode cannot be turned on, because not active in the nvidia control configuration.... i try install new operating system - Windows 10 and windows 7 - nothing change. no SLI in driver option...
Maybe whose know patch nvidia driver for manualy enable SLI option?

Enjoying my holiday in Pakistan atm (a beautiful view on top of some mountains lol) so I’ll upload 9th Bioses at around 8pm here which is 4pm in the UK.

BTW the heat and mosquito bites are killing me lol so it might take sometime. At least there’s better internet now.
