I get lots of jumping around when using the touchpad. I seem to wonder to the
right always, my finger always ends up sooner or later on the right side of touchpad, which apparently has some kind of `gesture' or scroll capability.

Those capabiliies (for me) just cause unwanted, unexpected motions that just upset my natural work flow

I'd like to turn that off. Make the tourchpad just a plain click, doubleclick and left/right menu mouse.

`Control Panel/mouse' seems not to have anything related to touchpad and their appears not to be a Control Panel/Touchpad item

Control Panel -> Mouse -> Device Settings -> Settings (for each driver installed) -> there you should be able to play the settings and disable all the unwanted features.

As reported in my original post, there are no setting at that location that have anything to do with the touchpad

See screen grab, and not there is no `Device Settings' and furhter none of the tabs there contain anything about the touchpad
