Since @Prema posted this in a thread which will likely be unseen by a lot of people I'll make this topic for people to see it.

    List of scammer emails:
    [email protected]
    [email protected]

To prevent this somewhat I already registered the adress [email protected] to myself so that scammers cannot use this in the future.

So be aware that Prema does his stuff on donation basis, he will not charge a specific amount for anything.

If you got e-mails from similair people trying to scam you, send me a PM with a screenshot so that we can expose as many emails as possible and have an extensive list, also report these emails to the provider as well.

Thanks for sharing, I have all my Prema BIOS by direct contact with Prema, or the manufacturer, I can't imagine that someone with no ethics stealing his BIOS like that, what happened to those people.

Everything has been donation based from day one and I will never request anyone to pay a certain amount!

The only bitcoin wallet I posses is the one mentioned in the readme files and I didn't receive anything there since February 2017!

Also in case anyone paid via PP to those scammers yahoo/hotmail addresses please file a complain with PP.

If you are contacted on this forum by any such user expose their PMs in public and report them to the moderators!

Also don't buy files being "resold" even if you get the right file it was not theirs to sell in the first place.

I have a question regarding bios mod. So I just had my first Clevo in November of last year. I've been researching on this forum and know that Prema has stopped providing public mods because some asshole betrayed him.
So now how can I donate to him? The websites https://biosmods.wordpress.com/ and https://premamod.com/ don't seem to have any information.
EDIT: Soon after posting this, I came across another topic where Prema posted, and it seemed really bad, he was very busy and people kept annoying him, what was worse was that he helped a person and that one didn't even say thank you
I'm very much appericated Prema's hard work and willing to donate him if he ever spends his precious time helping me.

@Prema I know this just seems like other begging posts out there, but from the bottom of my heart, I fathom the efforts you put into making these mods. I'm currently a college student majoring in Comp Sci, still have a lot more to learn, however I learn that low-level hardware programming like you do is not an easy job at all.
I just want to say there are still other people like me, who will be grateful for what others have done for them...

I have a clevo p651HS and while trying to install and configure arch linux on the machine I ran across a majorly annoying problem.
In MsHybrid (optimus) mode I have no way of controlling screen brightness (discounting setting the gamma).
In discrete mode with the proprietary nvidia drivers it does work,
but the plan was to use linux for work not gaming and battery life matters most there.

I have tried every trick in the book, but nothing works.
There is a very discuraging line in the arch wiki that seems to describe the particular problem (sysfs modified but no change in brightness only setting gamma with xbacklight works):
"[...]you may be facing an incompatibility between your BIOS and kernel driver."

So naturally I am wondering if a modded bios could help.
    I have the schenker/clevo bios 1.05.11 and EC 1.05.05

If any linux buff has the same model and got this to work with the bios I would like to know.
If only so I can rest easy knowing I am not just to stupid to set this up correctly.

Edit: Arch was trying to use PWM instead of the aux connection of the eDP.
    i915.enable_dpcd_backlight=1 fixed my problem.
    so disregard
