    i do some testing by getting another fan (it no brand fan) and i found out the following temp
    Fan blow in air into laptop can lower temp quite fast

    Fan 1 (Fan blow in air into laptop) - Cap down after play 10min battlefield game

    so replacing the fan seems to have really helped a whole lot.

    In case I get a unit that has HDD heating issues, I know another step I can take now.

    ya........... but also must see what type of fan..

    as i got 2 fan one is SUCK out hot air from the laptop another one is blow air INTO the laptop (of cos when blow air INTO the laptop will cause dust too - i think so) but not very big problem.. the most important is cool..........

    Yeah, I'm also interested in the max ACPI temps as well (what is ACPI btw?). I just ran a 3D Mark 05 test on it and look at the temps I got...

    Seems like my ACPI temps are really high compared to the average here.

    CPU are rated like ~100, maybe more. Recommended is much lower than this, so is the idle temp, ~50-60. Max 70-80.
    GPU are around 100. Recommended is like 80, 90 is the max. (based on desktop chips)
    HDD are rated around 55-60, depending on the model (we've talked about this a lot already )
