I am having trouble with my new Powerspec 1510 (Clevo P650HS)’s trackpad. I am currently on Windows 10 FCU.

The issue is when I type on the keyboard, it temporarily disables the trackpad (maybe half a second). This makes it annoying when playing games with the trackpad in conjunction with the keyboard.

I believe this has to do with the Synaptics Trackpad SmartSense/Palm features. However, there is no Synaptics Control Panel in Windows 10 appearing in Mouse settings or in my system tray. There is no options to enable touchpad while typing.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a solution? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.

SOLVED: I can get the original control panel back by installing the original Synaptics Drivers. However, I won’t get the precision touchpad features. Using Clevo’s drivers, I fixed the can’t move while typing by setting touchpad sensitivity to “Most Sensitive.”

I still have an issue with the precision driver in that I can’t “click” while holding down a key in the keyboard. I can “Tap to click” while holding down a key but not “click.” I can live with that though.

That is probably how this palm rejection works. You can hold down Shift and click with tap.
