    Using Sager Model NP8760 running win7 home premium

    How can I record sound from web input without picking up all the fans and power unit?

    Set the recording input to "Stereo Mix"

    Or you can always just take a 3.5mm cable:

    Plug one end in the headphone jack, and the other end in the microphone jack. Then record using the microphone.

    Hi,
    There are many ways to record audio from websites. Besides using the above two ways, you can also record sound by an audio recorder, while it is playing on your Windows 7 home premium.

    "here what to do, Start, all programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume control, click options, click properties, check box "Recording", now make sure "Stereo Mix" is checked then click Ok, check box "Stereo Mix" and exit, now open any audio recording software such as sound recorder, hit record and you're recording any thing that comes out of your speakers. You can utilize this method to record streaming sound or audio from the web.
