    Hello!

    I have a question regarding the Sager NP9150 screen/graphics.

When I close the lid, the computer starts to sleep/hibernate as it is supposed to. When I open the lid back up, sometimes the screen doesn't actually reboot to what was on it before the lid was closed, but rather it turns on and is dark, displaying nothing. I have to close/reopen the lid again, and even then it happens as well.

This occurs with programs and games alike, so the issue isn't isolated to any one task.

Is there a solution for this?

    Thanks

If it's factory default and you have not upgraded the gpus then this should not occur.
If it is occurring then there could be issue with your gpu on the way out.

    Good luck.

    Hi There,

Thanks for the reply, but everything is stock in the machine. Is there anything that can be done?

Uninstall video drivers use driver sweeper and reinstall again latest.
    Last resort -
    Reinstall windows
If it continues replace gpu but no guarantee.

    Good luck.

    Update 1:

Uninstalling/Re-installing the latest dedicated GPU drivers, along with restoring the default preference of allowing the machine to decide which GPU to use has solved the issue as of this post. Thanks!

    Update 2:

The problem still persists, although noticeably less often. Is there a permanent fix to this issue? Again, for the first year and a half, this was not an issue.

    Thank You!

Hmm, this usually happens on account of a service or driver conflict. Did you try updating the Intel HD graphics driver? That's actually what drives your monitor, not the NVidia chip.

Thanks for the reply! I've gone ahead and downloaded the appropriate driver. I'll post back to this thread if it seems to work or not.
