AMD_12.105.3_Fixed works great. In all games (World of Warplanes, World of Tanks and Skyrim also)

AMD Enduro Performance Fix for DirectX 9 Games and Applications not working. Maybe because x64 windows, maybe other reason, but no result.
    p.s. i have Alienware m17x R4 7970m

    Where did you find AMD_12.105.3_Fixed?

    Edit: Found it here http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...es-only-post-logs-no-questions-please-88.html

Downloading now. Hopefully this one will work for me too.

Well the highest I've managed to get Rift up to is 90%. I think the game is just poorly optimized. Couldn't get Crysis 1 to load. Far cry 3 was good. Skyrim was good. PoE was about 120 fps but only 60ish%. I'm going to revert to 13.6 with cap profiles. Works for my set up I guess.

Did you run the GUI application as administrator? Did you reboot after applying the fix?

It works for me for cod4, but I'm a competitive global offensive player and I hoped that it would fix that game also, too bad it doesn't.. still not using 30-35% of the power of the gpu :( if I could get the 99% there aswell, I would be able to get +-200 fps constant which would be great! I'll keep hoping for a fix :p

This may not be due to that enduro issue... I am also experiencing max. 78% gpu utilization with csgo, but on mobility 5850 without an integrated gpu. Gpu heats up with csgo, no matter which ccc version and settings and whether maxed or minimum video settings, more than with crysis 2 maxed with 4xAA, but crysis uses 99%, and csgo max. 78%.

    This is really annoying..

Just for sake of interest I played some dust2 and did no see my cs:go utilization drop down below 90%. Usually its roughly 95% and fps stays comfortably at around 150+. Same thing with Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3. I could say that I do not experience any enduro issues I would complain about. Most of the games I play either have fps limited (like cs:go) or vsync on (like D3 and GW2). I can't test Cod or Bf3 because I do not have any of them, but the games I play (alot) are OK.

I'll try to answer your questions if you have any

I can get the card to have 90-95 % usage, but then I just have to up the settings, and that's not what's my intention because my fps drops :) I want the max fps possible(right now it's going anywhere from 180-320, depending on the number of people running and shooting around the map). Most pro's always play low res and low settings because they want a stable 300 fps in csgo...

I've removed the "fix" as I lost substantial fps in Starcraft 2 since applying it. But I didn't have any utilisation issues before since I used msi afterburner to set power to +20% and avoided the throttling of gpu in my laptop.

Running the Radeon 8870M in a Samsung Chronos NP770Z5E.

EDIT: Now i can't seem to get decent framerates in it no matter what I do :-\

Try temporarily disabling Anti-Virus software, run EnduroFix executable as administrator, and then re-applying the fix.

    MacHater,

I try to be realistic (hopefully) and I think that this "fix" doesn't work. Perhaps on your machine but this seems to be an exception. However, I also don't have any problems with my enduro graphics card. Yes, sometimes I observed that the card utilized not to 100%, only then if I had enough frames for playing fluent. One thing is certainly right, I don't play CS, that's why I don't need 300f/s.

Just tried it today first time I applies this fix it didn't work. I ran it as administrator in win8 x64. Didn't see any boost in fps and utilization was still unstable. Second time I installed the fix as administrator and turned of my eset antivirus. Now every game runs great even BF3. Tried it on Alan Wake and Skyrim. BF3 was always above 90% in ultra and at medium always atleast 50 to 60fps. Skyrim did go below to 75% in some areas. I gues it works for dx9 and dx10 for me.

just FYI regarding Far Cry 3 performance against Enduro Fix (7970m on 170em) - dx9 - all maxed out apart from postfx - med
before the fix when I climbed up the first tower at the beginning, and looked around I had drop to 22-23 fps.
after fix I got 35fps - and whole thing feels much smoother (dunno how much new cat v13.6 taps to that feeling) very seldom going below 40fps.

btw I gave up on this dx11 crap - I don't even think this game was ever made for that technology.
this is the only game I had trouble with all the rest I played goes like a charm.

    ps.
I never measure gpu utilization as I find it unreliable and I don't believe you can have some utopian gpu that gives you 100% utilization all the time in every single game.

    Another quick question:

According to this aritle ( AnandTech | Performance Retrospective: AMD) AMD is improving the compatibility of Enduro drivers.

Is it safe to say that the fix presented in this thread disables enduro in a safe way that future updated drivers will be able to "overwrite" , re-enabling enduro?

But even if this isn't the case there's absolutely no drawbacks to installing this fix, correct? I'm assuming it can't hurt anything.

I have not noticed, it would hurt anything. Maybe bad for power consumption, because old games does not need to run with 200 FPS, 50 is enough. About the above posted Anandtech article, do not take everything seriously, Jarred doesn't like anything what is not Nvidia or Intel.

I understand that, but at the end he states that AMD is working on a fix for these issues, and I believe I came across something about a July 31st driver release that should help. I was wondering if installing this fix will in anyway cause issues with future driver updates, just as a general inquiry, personally, thanks to your advice, I'm gonna stay away from this fix unless I notice that I need it.

    ******************

I recently came across in another thread that the np9390(p375sm) is part of line of Clevo/Sagers that does not feature enduro at all, so thanks for the answers, turns out I can't even use this fix

    Hi everyone,

I would just like to thank MacHater for this brilliant application.

My laptop uses an older generation of PowerExpress hardware: Radeon HD6630M + Intel HD 3000, which I believe is PX4.0. HD6000 series are not even GCN cards as far as I know, but the fix worked!

My laptop has two methods to switch between GPUs: manually in CCC (this option was added with a BIOS update) and application-based switching, like Enduro. I have noticed that application-based is always slower or choppier: for example, I noticed framerate choppiness in Skyrim, and Dolphin emulator performed much slower at higher resolutions (45 FPS vs 80 FPS). When I selected the AMD GPU manually by changing "Switchable Graphics Method" in CCC, it worked better, but I wanted to stick with app-based switching for simple convenience.
After applying this fix, the performance difference is completely gone. I can enjoy Skyrim without having to manually switch between GPUs. Also don't have to worry about BSODs that sometimes happen in "manual mode" while switching between GPUs.

I think this also proves that PowerExpress performance issues affect an older generation of hardware that was called Dynamic Switchable Graphics (Sandy Bridge + HD6000 series).

Thank you very much! I'm going to test this fix a little bit to make sure all my games are working, but so far I'm very impressed.
    Amazing work!!

I think it also proves that Enduro is very much a rename of "Dynamic Switchable Graphics" and "BACON".

Hi Mac, it's a great fix! However I still have a question. I kind of think that my laptop (with an AMD HD7730m GPU), has higher temperature than before. I tried Bioshock Infinite and CSGO, both have FPS increasing, but my CPU goes from 75 to 81Celsius and GPU goes from 71 to 78Celsius. Is that a kind of side effect of the fix?

Anyone notice that the temperature of your CPU and GPU inceased after using this fix?
I'm not very sure but I think my laptop's cpu increase from 75 to 81Celsius, and my gpu increase from 71 to 78Celsius when I play Bioshock Infinite and CSGO. (I used a software to test the temperature and I'm not 100% sure)

BTW, I'm using a Dell Inspiron 15R Special edition (7520) (win7-64bit) laptop with an i5-3210m cpu & an AMD 7730m gpu.
    -------------
PS: I found that I can't undo the fix. Nothing happened when I undo it, and the FPS is still stay at the inceased rate.
PS2: I also tested on Sniper Ghost Warrior 2. The game works perfect when playing in DX11 mode, but remain lose of texture and models in DX9 mode of the game, after I apply the fix. It works perfect in DX9 mode before I do the fix, and it still remain error after I try to undo the fix. HELP!

The Enduro problem doesn't affect your machine, you don't have switchable graphics (Intel + AMD), you have 2xAMD (crossfire) i think dx9 games should be fine in your Sager, Test with the last AMD driver.

    Read this : http://videocardz.com/43157/amd-to-fix-crossfire-frame-pacing-issue-on-july-31st

I think that driver is for mobile crossfire graphics too.

I would like to confirm that the Enduro hotfix also works on 13.1, so 13.2 is not the minimum requirement. It didn't work on an old OEM driver based on 11.6, though.

well if you make your gpu run harder it will naturally increase temps. This s one of the reason I'm still on the fence regarding whether I should give this fix a go or not. I'm perfectly happy with the performance of the 13.6 beta drivers. I don't want to heat up the system unnecessarily. Right now I can pretty much max out all the games that I play and play them for hours without getting into the 80degree range. Most of the time it stays in the lower 70s.

Ok, I just ran cod4 with the 13.6beta drivers that I have installed.

Maxed all the settings out. Loaded the mp_crossfire map. As expected, I'm getting around 130fps when i stand and look in the same position as machater in his screenshots.

Does this mean AMD have already incorporated this fix in their drivers? I think yes!

Well I am using the 13.6 beta 2 drivers.

However, LeekM released a modified 13.8 driver and it is supposedly getting slightly better benchmarks than I am getting on the official 13.6beta2 drivers. Is that a different fix or are these 2 the same things?

What I mean to say is, that while you say it has been incorporated in the new 13.8 beta drivers, LeeKM is still dishing out the enduro fix drivers for the 13.8beta2. =S

im on 14.4 an this helped me alot. not because it just worked but because it enabled the amd overdrive option in my ccc. just activate that and set the tactrate at +0% and the dedicated gpu will always do the work, at least for me the frameratedrops are gone as far as i can say it now.

Thanks, this helped me somewhat. 7970m, i had 15fps at min settings and 20% utilization in Path of Exile, after the fix i get 30fps at max settings and 50-60% utilization. I'm using the 14.9 beta drivers.
The only problem is that if i decrease the settings the card keeps decreasing the voltage resulting in bad fps even at lower settings and frequent freezes
