The cash discount on xoticpc's website requires you to use paypal or some form of direct money transfer. How did you get the cash discount while using a credit card as well???? I'm interested in cash discount but want to purchase with my Amex credit card to get extended warranty from them....
Are you saying you ordered with Credit Card (CC) and then sent a check to them as well?? How does that work? Double charge? -
I assume he talked to a rep and paid for it by CC and they will refund him when the cheque clears. They may not even have charged the CC yet, just have it in case the cheque doesn't clear.

Its actually one of the payment options. You give a CC number and authorize it but don't charge it. This allows them to begin construction and they give me 10 days to send a check. If I send in time I get the discount (I send a check with the amount with the discount) and if not they charge me full price on the CC.
