    Hi All,

Firstly, I'm a fairly advanced user and after a lot of searching, I've created this post.

I had bought the laptop around January 2015, and started to use it completely only since the last 2-3 months as i was using another laptop. I have the default settings with added 16 GB of RAM and thermal compound.

On using the laptop for long durations, it suddenly freezes and the fan goes into maximum speed mode(Loud fan noise) and then I get the DPC_Watchdog_Violation bluescreen of death. It happens randomly and even though I've played only CS:GO on the laptop, it has never happened during gaming.

The freezing happens usually at the below scenarios:

    1) With multiple browsers open (FF, chrome and IE)
    2) On starting the laptop (rarely happens)
3)Some websites which may require video

On searching the internet it seems the issue could be due to a driver or antivirus, So i formatted the drive and re-installed windows 8.1 again. I installed all the drivers including NVIDIA and Intel graphic drivers. The issue didn't occur atleast for a few days, but now it's reappearing.

Another thing is the weird sound it makes when it sometime freezes, I cannot attach the file so i'll link it to soundcloud. These sound occur maybe once in 2o freezes or so.

Now, I'm afraid it may be due to a hardware part, If anyone has faced this issue please let me know what to do?

I have Kaspersky AV and Outpost firewall installed, I've been using this combination for almost 7 years and have added each other to their respective exclusion list. This is also the 1st time i'm working on Windows 8.1, So i'm not sure if the OS is the problem.

I strongly think it could be a conflict bw the 2 gfx drivers (intel and nvidia) but i've installed the latest versions of both - intel, through it's driver update utility.

    Regards,
    FM

As per HWMonitor, the temperatures are:

    Notebook - Max 56 C
    i7 - 60 C
    HDD - 39 C
GPU - Not Available as it's not running during normal use, on running FurMArk - 75 C

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    FM

Well, the intel processor has an inbuilt gfx processor that takes care of less intensive gfx processing. Only when required, the dedicated GFX card takes control of the processing. This is done to save power as well as battery.

Watchdog errors usually are CPU/memory related, try removing a stick and if it still happens swap the memory sticks over.
