    My laptop: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Schenker-XMG-A517-Clevo-N850EP6-Laptop-Review.309744.0.html
    i have a problem,
my Laptop is now 1 year old and since quite some time i get fps drops in gta online. Thats the only high demanding game i play for know, so i can just compare it with it.

After 2 Minutes ingame, i got fps-drops, which happens every 2-3 seconds from 60 (v-sync is on) to 45-50.
Thats why i decided to use MSI Afterburner to look at my components heating. In GTA V my GPU goes up to 96 till it throttles and the CPU hits 95, till it throttles down. Thats why the game is unplayable for me.

I can make pics from Hwinfo in my next gta online session, if you need that, but for now i have my results from 3DMark.
For a strange reason in 3DMark the CPU never goes over 80 degrees.

i have the clevo center version 5.0001.1.76 installed, thats the newest version i found for my laptop on the clevo site.
I heard there is a weird bug which throttles your GPU, is that still the case?

Edit: hery are my HWinfo results, after playing gta online:

You need to post in the correct sub-forum to get more exposure from Clevo owners as there is a dedicated sub-forum for Clevo:

    Sager and Clevo

Yep fairly self explanatory your gpu hits 95c and throttles because either your paste is dry/pumped or your heatsink is blocked with dust.

i guessed that too, but i do not have any knowledge how to change the paste or how to remove the dust from the heatsink, but thank you for your repy.
    What should i do?

Edit: @Ultra Male Thank you for moving my tread into the right correct sub-forum.

If you don't have the expertise, find someone who does and let them do it.

An air duster while using a small screwdriver or stick to stop the fan spinning would be the easiest way to clean dust (do this outside ;) ) then if it's still hot a re-paste is worth looking into.

I do not know anyone who could do that. I live in germany, cologne and no one offers to do these things for a Clevo/XMG Notebook.

What is an Air Duster? And can you explain me how to do these things? As i said earlier i do not have knowledge how to do that.

Its a can of compressed air, easy to find in hardware stores/DIY stores, or in computer parts stores.

If you are in Germany, XMG can clean your laptop, but no idea about prices, its not usually not covered under warranty.

Wow guys you're so helpful......Posting a simple how to is apparently to much to ask these days.

    @Frate

Follow the youtube video and you're good to go. Get good thermal paste, any decent quality will do just fine. The easiest to find in german local stores is arctic MX 4 or Coolermaster masterGel. If you want to order online, getting something like ICDiamond or GC Gelid would be recommended.
