Perhaps contacting XOTIC PC first would be helpful. I am sure there is some explanation for this.

A simple phone call, email, support ticket, PM would work to check status of any refund. This is not the proper spot to be checking on refunds. Please contact us with any of the above methods and we will check on your refund.

I ve been just refunded by Xoticpc, it took some time though, so be carefull what you write here, it may damage reputation of great company! (ie. some people might get bad ideas just by glancing at the thread name)

For anyone reading this thread I did purchase my laptop through Xoticpc and have had a great customer service experience with them. I can't say that about any other company I have purchased a PC from as they are usually very lacking in service/support. Based on my experience so far I would certainly recommend them.

Without any detail as to whether or not you even contacted Xotic about it (which it sounds like you may not have) this thread seems quite unfair to them. Could you please contact them (or contact them again if you have done so previously) and find out about the status and give us an update on this. If there really is a problem nobody wants to brush it off and we appreciate you making us aware of it, but please post the neccessary information so people can make an adequate decision with the facts in hand. A few thousand dollars is not small change to most people and would hate to see people order elsewhere over a potentially unfounded concern.

This is precisely the kind of thing I made some comments about here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=161343
These threads are useless and a real drain on the quality of the board here. You have an obligation to contact your vendor first... and if you then need to post about something, give us the details so we know what steps you've taken. This is especially true when you start implying or accusing vendors of misdeeds. How often do these same thread starters return and clear up the confusion? Meanwhile all these "sky is falling" threads propagate. Crazy.

    I agree with you.
The first thing someone should do when they have a problem with a vendor is to contact that vendor. Accusing a vendor on these boards just gives the vendor a bad name (that they didn't deserve).
I'm fine with someone posting a bad experience they've had with a vendor so that others know about it... But just sitting there, waiting and doing nothing and then complaining about the vendor is just useless.

Yet you still didn't provide any detail as to whether or not you have contacted Xotic about this and what their response was as nearly every poster responding to this thread has suggested. If you have contacted them please provide us with the detail of what happened as your story is very contrary to the experience many of us have had with Xotic (myself included). If there are people on the fence about ordering from what many of us believe to be a great company this post could cost them a substantial amount of business yet there is no detail indicating you have even tried to resolve the issue with them. Had I seen a post like this and not known any better from browsing these boards for a while and knowing people that ordered from Xotic outside of these boards, I would not have placed my order.

If you haven't contacted them then that should have definitely happened before making a thread designed at harming their reputation when they may not even be aware that there is a problem. Try e-mailing [email protected] and include your confirmation number and the specifics of this issue as you outlined them here with as much additional detail as you can include. You can also call them I very confident they will be able to straighten this out of you.

Ok, so your money order is somewhere in limbo. It is still hard for us to believe that Justin is holding it hostage, while laughing maniacally and twiddling his handlebar mustache. Most likely there's been a mistake somewhere. I would be pissed too but you make it sound like they did it intentionally (to quote: "so you can cheat me"). Demonstrating intention requires more evidence than you provide.

Wait... Justin has a handlebar mustache!? Then he must be evil!

    But seriously, your post:
Doesn't give us anymore information and this topic is still useless (actually it's harmful to the company's reputation). So you can either provide us with some information as to what happened and the steps you took to solve the problem or you can stop trolling.

One possibility is that English is not zerosource's first language and he/she is not confident in his/her proficiency.

    :D

Seriously though, admins might want to consider deleting this thread.

I to did received a great service with xoticpc, fast and reliable. Each time i had a question they replied really fast. Try to contact them and yeah talk with justin! Deleting this thread might be a good idea, unless there is proof it seems a bit soon to jump the gun, might want to check with the bank and see where it was wired in. Right know this thread is just damaging to a great company!!

Correct. This is not my first language, but anyway just because I couldn't communicate well means to be delete my thread and my opinion?

Sorry, that I might using wrong words to show my feeling because we living in different ways doesn't mean we will feel the pain in different ways.

I came to study in US last year, please forgive me for one year and couple months in English language.

I didn't mention that Xoticpc is bad, but I'm afraid that it will.
So please let us talk in the good way and we can smile.

Did you, by any chance, happen to keep the receipt you got for the money order when you purchased it, or the carbon copy/purchaser's copy of the money order?

If you did, then you have all the necessary information you need to contact the issuer of the money order (e.g., Western Union) and find out what the status of your money order is. They will either tell you that it's been cashed, in which case you should be able to get information about who cashed it, or else they will tell you that it has not been cashed, in which case you should (a) contact xoticpc to (i) find out what's going on, (ii) whether they have possession of the money order, and (iii) unless you decide to re-order your system, let them know that you will be cancelling the money order, and (b) cancel the money order and get a refund from the issuer.

For example, Western Union provides information regarding how to go about tracing a money order, getting a photocopy of the cashed money order, and getting a refund for a lost money order on this webpage: http://www.westernunion.com/info/faqMoneyOrder.asp

With all due respect, you really should have taken these steps sooner, the longer you wait, the more likely it is that you will be unable to recover your money if someone has stolen the money order while it was in transit from you to xoticpc (again, with all due respect, I doubt xoticpc has your money and intends to keep it, and at any rate, in the highly unlikely event that they have, it should be reasonably easy to recover it from them).

You can talk in the good way in private with Justin or another employee from XoticPC.
You seem to understand English pretty well and you still didn't give us any of the details we've asked for. We're asking to have more information, more details on what happened and what you did (the efforts and steps you took) to communicate with XoticPC to get your problem solved.

Messages on a public message board are posted to ask for help. You're not asking for help here you're just accusing XoticPC without backing up what you're saying or given us ANY information to help you.
If you're going to post here to ask for help, then ask for it and provide us with the details we need to help you. If you're just going to post to point a finger then it doesn't belong here.

Again, if you need to check the status of any refund please call, email, PM, Chat or submit a support ticket on our website. I have audited all emails since Sunday and don't have any questions on refunds.

Please contact us direct, rather then posting on the forum for any status on refunds. I would personally be happy to check on the status for you. We will need your order # or name to check on it.

My contact info is below. :)

You implicitly implied XoticPc is bad.

The thread should be deleted because of that reason. And because you appear to be a shill. What's a shill? A shill is a person who poses as a dissatisfied customer in order to defame the reputation of another company for the benefit of their own. Also, this thread should be deleted because it's the wrong venue for this type of "dispute."

Hey I could be wrong and it's all a simple misunderstanding due to a language barrier.

Xoticpc provides a service without which you wouldn't want to have purchased a Sager notebook. Not that Sager's customer service is all that bad. But that XoticPc's customer service is all that good.

I'm closing this thread because it deals with issues between the customer and the reseller. In the future please keep things like this off the forums. Posting something like this on the forums does not help anyone.

    Thanks for understanding.
