First of all, I live in the UK, and the laptop was bought in Aug from the US with help from my cousin who lives there. the laptop has been working perfectly fine until few days ago, i couldn't log into windows and i decided to re-install it after several attempts on try to fix it. The first time i re-install the windows took ages (around 6 hours) and after installation the laptop still running really slow so i decided to format the hard drive and install it again.. I deleted all the files by pressing the "delete" button on the windows 7 installation page and when i tried to format it , the following msg appeared "windows could not format a partition on disk 0 windows 7 [Error: 0x80070057]." after over 7 hours wait after i pressed the "format" button.
I would like to know if there s a problem with my hard drive or it s just a software problem .. if that s the hardware problem, how will i be able to claim the warranty? post it back to the US ? i am really in hurry to use my laptop for assignments ... please help
thank you

Sounds like a bad HDD. See who made it - try to contact them for an RMA. If MALIBAL can't help you, that is...

so i m hopin it s just a software problem... but i dont feel it that way -
Find a local hardware geek you trust that can do free (or pay via beer
) diagnosis?
