    Its here https://world.taobao.com/item/54056...1.14.15.ebb2eb2ZOEszS&ns=1&abbucket=17#detail
I have not acquired one as of yet but I will in the next week then I will try to install it, just keep in mind that no Rx 480 is compatible as I understand it the EC wont like Clevo so the laptop just boots down.
And some of them do not support LVDS only eDP displays.

Temps are around 68 degrees maximum though its an 80W TDP GPU it could easily reach 80 degrees with 100W TDP jump, I have yet to test it though as I am trying to figure it out not exactly walk in the park.

Thanks for link, GPU looks very nice and clean, and that black is sexy!

ideally an Oprimus laptop (m18x-r2 in my case) can accept all gpus but sadly has not Crossfire or Sli support

    When u get the card, could u try and test if the card actually works in ur Clevo? I know that the E9550 MXM doesn't work because of the temp sensors but maybe the RX 580 does work. Even tho it looks pretty grim for clevo owners. I'd really like to have an AMD card again tbh ;_;

    Hi,
I am also trying to do the same upgrade. Can you please help me with the vBios that you used to flash on the laptop?

Also will a 1070 also fit? or is 1060 the max we can go? and what brand do I get? Will MSI 1060/1070 fit????

Do not bother with the 1070, it produces too much heat, and it barely gives any good performance upgrade over the 1060 that justifies it, Eurocom are the only ones selling compatible 1070 with the Clevo with a 95W TDP, basically a Max-Q card, you might as well just buy 1060 from Chinese resellers.

If you read back in this thread, I believe I explain how to modify the .inf files in the drivers to get the driver to install, make sure you get the black 1060 cards, MSI preferably and in standard size 3.0b.

If you still struggle after you gotten the 1060, you can contact me and I will walk you through the process, its pretty easy once you get a hang of it also remember to buy copper shims off eBay sometimes your cooler wont fit properly, I am not sure what laptop you have however if you could provide what type it would help a lot, not every machine can accept 1060

Thank you so much for clearing the confusion between 1060 and 1070.

I have a Clevo P775DM-G from a reseller Azom here in India. I currently have a 970m installed on it.

    I could find a Gtx 1060m on Aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ori...ced4-4cc1-b847-1a076b0afe9d&priceBeautifyAB=0

Let me know if this will work and should I order this?
As far as the modification goes, I have been going through so many threads that I got confused and thought that I might need to flash a vBios or something (sorry not too technically sound) therefore wanted to make sure of this before I ordered.

Thanks again for helping out :D

I don't think you should bother, just overclock the GTX 970M and you'll have pretty close 1060 performance. I upgraded from an overclocked 970M to a 1060 as well and i really didn't notice much at all.

Sorry I was a little confused, when I said 1070 is no good over the 1060 I meant in the P150EM alongside Eurocom's 95W TDP limited vBIOS.
Your laptop should be able to handle GTX 1080 just fine, but that is expensive but if you choose between 1060 and 1070, get the Clevo 1070 with higher TDP so you get a lot of performance.

Overclocking the 970M depends on what temperatures you get on it, use Furmark to get the maximum heat out of it but no more than 20 - 30 seconds, and use some games to get a good idea what the temps are, if they are very high its pointless to overclock it but if they are low you can have a go.

You can google after it on youtube, only thing you need to consider are the temperatures.

There are tutorials for different applications and hardware. MSI Afterburner makes it fairly simple with its interface and it's a free download. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube for it.

Most 970M machines tended to have headroom in temps to be fair.

That's a bit ambitious. The 1060 is a good 15-20% faster than even the highest overclocked 970M cards. Compared to a stock 970M you'd be looking at near 40% faster. The highest I could ever get my 970M (P750DM-G) was ~9500 points in Firestrike with Prema's VBIOS pushing it to the absolute limit (any more voltage and the VRM would shut down).

On the other hand, my 1060 in the P650RP will pull ~11500 with an undervolt.

So, the price for a GTX 1080 is pretty high and not worth it. I am thinking of getting a GTX 1070.
So a question, I hope i wont have to do any cutting or sanding off any part of the heatsink or body of the laptop to make the GTX 1070 fit in P775DM-G right?

Also I am unable to find a laptop version of the GTX 1070 on aliexpress. Can someone help me there?

Another question, won't the power requirement of each card cause the performance to drop? I believe 1080 is a 150w card? and 1070 a 100w?
How do i check if the laptop will be able to power it properly? I have a 230W adapter for the laptop do I need to upgrade that too?

I contacted Azom, the reseller for Clevo in India, He said I might need a Bios flash for upgrading the card too. Is it true?
Can I buy a Clevo 1070/1060 from him? Will that also fit the P775DM-G chassis?

msi gtx1070s are not mxm 3.0b cards
    [IMG]

so they are bigger than old gtx9xx. is there enough space in your chassis?

    these are mxm 3.0b cards

Not sure of the exact size, But I think the clevo ones are already bigger in size than the new and old MSI cards.
Also going by the Die Size that GPU-Z, i.e. 398m2 for the 970m i think the bigger ones you are reffering too will fit as their size i.e. 105mmx94mm is also 398m2.
Is there any other difference in these cards apart from the size. I think i just noticed that a few mention MXM 3.0B and some MXM 3.1.
    what kinda difference is this?

Also will the 1070 require an upgraded power brick too? I have a 230W brick right now.

    Oh boy. That's an issue.

According to this the GTX 970m that I have should have a Die Size of 374m2 but GPUZ is showing 398m2 which is equal to MSI Cards.
I think i'll have to physically confirm it by opening the laptop?

Die size is dictated by the chip (All GTX 970M cards have the same die size) and is independent of the PCB.

Your 970m if from a Clevo mxm based machine will look like the one in the older clevo lists at the top right and is a standard mxm 3.0 size.

If you have enough space in your chassis then go for a msi gtx1070.
If you don't have enough space in your chassis then go for a mxm 3.0b card like msi gtx1060 or eurocom gtx1070 or quadro p3000/4000/5000.

Go with the msi 1060 @ronak1078 because i don't think it's worth the removal of an M.2 slot or a capacitor just to get a 1070 installed.
