Congrats Akilae Hunter. I had the same type setup, but (3) Seagate 160gb SATA II drives without any Raid. Ran 9046 on 3d Mark06 [looked at a saved not file]. Maybe virus/security software is slowing you down. Also stop any FPS software running, it will just use up some process time. BTW, my 9046 was slightly slower than some of the other reports I have seen on the Forum.

Just picked up a X6800 from Ebay so I can keep up with Wu Jen! Can't wait for the shipment to arrive...

Yeah I figured there was something wonky going on with my scores. Either way, I pumped Oblivion up to max everything on 16x12, and its butter, even outside in a fight next to water!

    Oh, and a weird question:
I ordered 2x160's and a 250. I wanted the 160's in RAID0. WELL, what got shipped to me was a 160/160/250 RAID5 setup. I don't even know how that is possible- I thought ALL the drives had to be identical. Weirdest part- in 'My Computer', only one drive shows up, and its total capacity is 450GB. I think that means that its got the capacity of 3x160 drives. But wtf is with that? Also, I've been BSOD'ing somewhat often... like once every 4-5 hours.

    Any input?

I would guess that they have you set up as (3) 160gb drives streaming. Might be that the BSOD is caused by the error of the 250 handling slow on timing due to being 5400 rpm vs 7200 rpm. Access speed on the larger capacity and slower rpm drive should make a difference.

Sorry that I can't help you with RAID. I try to keep things simple! :)

Any idea when the 8700M's will be available for the D900C?

I'm itching to pull the trigger on one with SLI 8700's :-D.

By the time twin 87's come out, if at all, they won't be worth it because of the 88's.

I would love to see the bench marks on one of Eurocom's offering that has the Quad Core Q6700 with Dual 8700GT vs. one with Dual 7950GTX in SLI. :p

    C'mon Sager, get with it!

If you keep on waiting...it'll never end. The grass is always greener beyond the horizon, as it should be. I just set my strike point at the 8800 series. Hopefully by then, Vista SP1 will be release with SLi drivers. If not, I'll just stick to WinXP Pro, or ask Master Wu for a beta version that works well. You'll hook me up, right Master Wu?

I can't comment on the x32 Vista SLI drivers (Since I'm using x64 atm) but on the owners thread Gophn just provided us with some new drivers. The Sager x64 drivers are working for me atm for SLI.

That depends on your definition of liquid. Heatpipes for serious HSF's have an easioly evaporated liquid to use as its transfer medium. But true 'water cooling' would be a sight to see. Only problem that in order to not have the reservoir reach capacity too quickly, the thing shell would be the size of a D900c and have the power of a graphing calculator. A very shiny graphing calculator.

I think you've hit on a great product. A Keginator with a built-in Clevo! Liquid cooling for the processors and the Tapper too! I'll go with premium import please, Life is too short for bad beer!

    LOL.
Yeah... Unless some miracle of heat transfer happens, air is still the final medium that has to be dealt with for a notebook. Something still has to remove the heat from the reservoir, right? Maybe make the whole notebook's bottom one big piece of ribbed aluminum, so it could passively transfer the heat out... Even so, we're still talking a lot of volume/area to dedicate on something thats meant to be miniaturized...

Though a mini-keg with a built in laptop would be something there might be a market for... But then the beer would get too warm.

There was no doubt it wouldn't beat the 9260 when the Dell is equipped with only 8700's... I'm not sure what your point is.

I know this is a little late, but was doing a quick search on overclocking the Clevo D901C and found this forum.
I just received my Blackhawk Quad. It replaces a Dell Inspiron 8200, that was upgraded to a 2.4 P4. I've only done a few minor benchmarks and gaming tests so far, all done in stock form, no OC'ing or adjustments.
    Specs: Q6700, 1.050V, 2gig mem, 2 x 200G 7200 sata3 raid 0, 2 x 8700m sli, 17" 1920x1200 lcd, etc.
Remember all of this is preliminary, and I know the 7950's would be faster.
3DMark06 was 8700 even, cpu temp right around 50c but I haven't watched them closely. 3Dmark06 sli disabled was about 5400 (I forget the exact score).
I've played a few games, just see if heat would be an issue. After running Co of Heros, Stalker, Supreme Commander and FEAR, I've experienced no lock ups or heat related issues.
Purely subjective, this machine seems to run much cooler then my old Dell 8200, it feels cooler and my desk feels noticebly cooler. It also runs quieter. Heat doesn't appear to be an issue in stock form.
I do alot of video editing, etc. The speed of the Q6700 is amazing. Again no heat issues.
I forgot to mention, during some of my use, I use a CoolerMaster Notepal, but have yet to notice a difference with or without it. I next want to do a closer like at temps with and without an external cooler. But, I think Clevo has done a very good job with the cooling setup of this chassis.

I'll try to post a full review soon, (unless there are others already posted) I've yet to really look thru this forum, I just found it.
