Hey guys. I figured I would bring up this topic and see if anyone else is experiencing similar issues. I have been using the default drivers since I got my NP9170 in June. Like many people, I had been waiting to update my drivers for when a release actually made a difference. So I updated to 12.11 on release date and since then have experienced a drastic decrease in battery life. I'm talking 50% decrease. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar issue.

Same here. If not a little more. Before, I could make it through a 2 and a half hour class on a full charge and performance mode but now I can't even make it an hour and fifteen minutes. It's such a shame...

not for me, everthing seem to work just fine, I had it in school today, and on powersaver it lasted more than 2 and half hour, and still like 35 percent. I was doning mainly autocad and web browser with display brightness to 30 percent.
Also I red on anadtech that a new bios update sholud increase battery life by a lot.

Power saver is different... Before, I could leave my laptop on high performance and have it last that long.

If you apply the registry mods to unlock overclocking you prevent the dedicated card from turning off.

I don't think I did that? I use AfterBurner occasionally but that's about it. How would I check?
