I want to order a sager 15.6" and replace it with a 120hz display. Not for 3D but just cuz I want 120hz smoothness on my desktop.

    B156HW01 something?

Sager has never offered a 120hz for a 15.6" screen, they have on a 17.3" though, would that size be too big?

No. I would actually prefer a 17.3". Is the display being sold and if so what is the model number? Thank you.

I thought there was something about the mobo being different for a 120Hz screen on the previous gen, and the same applies to the current gen. Meaning it wouldnt work to slap an aftermarket 120Hz screen in.. There has been at least half a dozen threads about a similar topic, I'll see if I can find the one I'm thinking of

There is at least one as there are some other brands that have 17.3" 3D screens built in. Not sure if they can be purchased individually though.

That link is helpful. Looks like I am just going to have to wait. I am a little surprised 120hz panels haven't become more mainstream yet.

There is a LG 17.3" 60/120hz display. 1920x1080, high gamut, anti-glare. Out of production but can still be bought.

    LP173WF2-TPB1

The problem is it has a 50-pin connector, while most sagers are 40-pin...
