I talked with the technical support people at Eurocom about the compatibility of the Sky X4C (Clevo P750TM-1) with 128 GB of RAM (32 GB modules). They sell this configuration. They said that it required a BIOS update, and that the only way Windows could address that much RAM on this particular chipset was by disabling one of the ports, specifically the Thunderbolt one.
Does anyone here have a Clevo P750TM-1 with 128 GB of RAM and a working Thunderbolt port? If so, from what reseller, and what BIOS?

Out of curiosity what are you running that needs more than 64GB of ram?

Or as another example, if you're approximating a non-azimuthally-symmetric function with a series that uses a pre-calculated table of Clebsch-Gordon coefficients, if you don't use symmetries you'll need around 8N^6 terms, where N, 2N+1 are the maximum indices for the spherical harmonics in the series. For N=100, that's 64 TB, but using symmetries one should be able to reduce it by around a factor of 1000, enough to bring it below 128 GB. But I'm not sure about 64.Last edited: Oct 3, 2019 -
, go for the 128GB if the system can support.

If it's an address space issue then 2x32 and 2x16 should work for 96GB. It's not something we offer atm.

Update: With an updated Eurocom BIOS, I was able to install 128 GB. Removing the keyboard is almost impossible without something with which to hold the latches open, like paperclips. Contrary to what I was told by Eurocom, their updated BIOS does not seem to have disabled the Thunderbolt port, and contrary to what I was told by Hidevolution, the Prema BIOS does not seem to have been necessary to have both work simultaneously.
