    Hello everyone,

I am on the hunt for a new notebook. So far the Dell XPS 15 9560 fits most of my wishes:
Just that I don't like Dell and find them overpriced.

I once had a Malibal 17" monster machine. Best laptop I ever had and very reliable. So I thought I could go the "Clevo" path again and find a nice 15.6" Clevo laptop. Just that I couldn't so far :/
Most of them are either too bulky or have a very small battery.

Is there some Clevo Model available that could be a good alternative to the Dell XPS 15 9560?

    Thanks!

The thinnest and lightest Clevo with a dGPU (1060 or1070MQ) is the P950, and as usual, the battery is tiny.

The PowerSpec 1710 is a thin laptop, and quite light, and only $1299 at MicroCenter. Battery life is quite good in MSHybrid mode. (I get 6.5-7 hrs on it)

I would prefer to stay with Clevo due to their built quality.
The only other option for me would be a Thinkpad.

I bought my Dell because I thought the build quality & company is nice and because it had the best hardware for the best price back then.
How ever, Dell suffers massive QC issues (not only on new models.. in some cases they don't fix the issue at all and the next XPS15 might be fixed or not). Also ~2years after buying it I had a display issue. There was not a single display available for replacement repair. After 2 years no spare parts an ymore. And the repair would have cost as much as a new laptop anyway.

Thank you guys. The Thinnest I could find so far also seems to tbe from the P95x series:
    @XMG P955Hx: https://www.mysn.de/schenker-key-laptops/key-15
    P957HR: http://www.eurocom.com/ec/configure(2,422,0)EurocomQ5

Is there any "logical" behind the Clevo numbers? Maybe that would be help me to narrow down my search on only the slim Clevo models.

How ever, they still all have a relatively small Battery with max. 60Wh. But I 5hours battery life, on the iGPU, are fine (if that is possible).

I found one model with 96WH but then its already 30mm thick. I have no idea what "Clevo Model" it is:

Looking at all the links I posted the Dell is at the same price point, with the same hardware, but thinner and with a larger battery.

    Thanks!

All of the devices I have listed have superior chassis build quality and durability. Clevo laptops are focused on good value and performance/cooling, not durable chassis.

I am not just talking about the chassis but the hardware inside.

And sorry, I will never buy an Acer. I have never seen so many crap laptops as with Acer.

I liked my Asus and had good experiences with it.
I am not sure where the Lenovo Yoga stands for me. I know Thinkpads (from the past) were rock solid.
    No idea about Surface

If you mean how long the PCB and other electrical components will last - that's mostly luck of the draw really. Even the most expensive business-class laptops fail. That's why warranties exist.
