With 178.15 drivers, power options is showing extra GPU settings in Power Options, such as Hybrid SLi. They are the options that would be shown when there is an nForce chipset onboard. Anybody else have this?

I do not have those options for some reason. How did you update yours? I got mine from laptop2go with the modded inf.

IDK! I've done a clean install twice, and each time the drivers are installed, they are showing up... Kinda cool if they are actually working :) 178.15. Very strange. I like it!

I sure did. All from laptopvideo2go. You know, I might be using Dox's modded 178.13 inf. Try that...

are you using dox's with the new driver or the actual modded 178.15 inf?
It actually might be that I have a 9262 also, although I dont see why that would be. I also have a 9800m gt instead of a 8800m gtx.

Well and I'm using the 9800M GTX so I don't know if that would have anything to do with it either. Even if it doesn't work, it still makes me feel good seeing it there :)

Eh, even with dox's inf I cant get those options with mine :(. Ive tried 178.13 with doxs, I tried 178.15 with doxs, and I tried 178.15 with the regular laptop2go drivers. NO new options for me.

Great! What did it take? I wonder why they are showing up, when as far as I believe, there are no other nVidia chips in these systems to work with.

I had to uninstall my current driver then restart and install the 178.15 with dox's inf copied over. Is there any harm to using a 178.13 inf with a 178.15 driver?

If you don't have an embedded GPU chipset, Hybrid SLi probably won't work

Honestly, I am hoping that the power saver option works. I need all the power I can get. I also noticed some extra options under display. I now have SmartDimmer options that I dont remember having before. Good thing to check out. Again, is there any adverse effects of using dox's 178.13 inf with 178.15 drivers?

BTW, I just updated to 180.10 on laptopvideo2go and the moddified inf that comes with it keeps the gpu options. Thats good news if you want to update.

lol I was afraid to upgrade with the risk of loosing my GPU options that prolly don't even work in the first place. Thanks for experimenting with it!

ha, yeah I noticed all this too when I was changing some power stuff and thought it was weird. Maybe sager took my notebook in the night and stuffed an integrated card in running on a new nvidia chipset... i wish but anyways no adverse effects. Obviously we can't run Hybrid SLI. Wish these beasts did, although I did manage about 2h45m the other day or so which I've never acheived before.
