Not many left of the resellers so I thought since I'm a first time buyer and new to this site as well I'd create a new thread so feedback is fresh.
I've been searching everywhere and diligently on a Sager reseller and can't seem to find one to my standards.
Any help would be great.
I've stayed away from lpc digital for the Site is way outdated as well as the social media outlets for them as well. Larry was busy to get into contact quick enough and since then prostar had confirmed my doubts with there crooked reviews on reseller and pulled my negative review too easily.
Xotic PC has far too many complaints and lpc digital is still claiming to be working on a new site like they have been months ago.
Power notebooks out of business. (Feeling like lpc is next) phone number on the site don't work anymore.
Myth is far too expensive for my needs and eurocom is seeming like the only decent choice considering the distance.
So you guys tell me? I've been researching for weeks and Im about done looking and losing interest in trying.

I understand the complaints but hopefully you've seen where we have taken action to correct any mistakes, as no one is perfect.
I would be happy to help and show you that those complaints, while they may seem higher searching online, are still a small percentage of our overall business. -

I also want to buy a Sager, specifically the NP7258, I was going to buy from Xotic PC. The thing that stopped me is that people reported up to one month of getting the system together before shipping. My laptop is broken, and I wouldn't have time for that long. Then after digging more, recent reviews were negative. I'm at a crossroad with damaged signs.
-
Lpc digital- too small, one man army much respect for the guy and his business but the company needs work. Might be worth trying.
Xotic PC - were the cheapest option but with what risk at this point. Natural growing pains that I don't want to be apart of. Customer service was not helpful over the phone but on chat was amazing. To much bad info through my weeks of research.
Prostar - didn't get too far has below average customer service and wasnt helpful. I loved it's customization options though.
Mythologic - high end with ultimate customization did not even get my foot in the door but quoted high priced not sure of much else.
Eurocom - great stories and reviews and personal reviews but the distance kept me from ordering.
Unbiased as can be right here I'm a Californian and in college and I'll keep you all up to date on everything so it's not so hellish as my time to spend buying a laptop.
*In regards to clevo build.(Sager)
After busting my butt I've went with.
HIDEVOLUTION - GOOD customer service great help answering questions. I'll keep you updated I just paid for it so I'm going to keep you informed. My buddies in my chem class have these so after hearing people rant about them here I figured I take the chance. I will let everyone know here and keep as many review forums that I can get so if I get a bad experience everyone will know vice versa.
My second choice would of been lpc digital and then xotic PC. ($1900) price range. I do like the sound of the two year that xotic ordered though.Spartan@HIDevolution and Fridgse like this. -
My issue with HIDevolution is that the NP7258 is not available there (at least the search doesn't tell me). Even if it gets on sale there, it'll probably be with a higher price tag than other resellers.

While you have titled this as sager resellers there is a lot of talk about companies who do not work with us in here such as HIDevolution and Eurocom.
Look for our NP model numbers if you are not sure or feel free to check with myself.
Don't forget while you should be happy ordering through our partners you can always check direct with ourselves. Also 2 year warranties are now standard on our machines -
The idea is so buyers and future buyers can take this info and either relate or make a decision based on recent info and keep it unbiased as possible because as a first time buyer I did tons of research and this forum became little to no help because of the fact mostly older data in regards to resellers.
I've seen HIDevolution TED in and out of forums but they don't even have decent BBB rating yet alone doesn't even participate in reseller ratings.
So I'll be using them for reviews and so far it's been great but feedback of HIDevolution has been mixed.Last edited: Feb 20, 2016 -

Where are you located in California?
I've always wanted to be a Clevo Reseller.
Let us know how your machine arrives. There seems to be good stories regarding HIDEvolution lately.
I definitely understand what you mean by distance regarding Eurocom, it took over a week for them to receive my system for RMA, whereas HIDEvolution, RJTech, Sager, etc. are located in California. Ground shipping takes 1-2 days max to have your package delivered if any issues arrived.jrsx2689 likes this. -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
also, that's the SAGER model, HIDevolution would have the same laptop but under the CLEVO model numbers -
yeah as an end result of my research and experience I've mentioned above it ironically lead to the California based companies being my options with the exception to xotic PC which was highly favorable but have read and been advised against by class mates who all buy clevos I've just been the one with a desktop for far too long I need minimal some portability here. So I am in California as well so that makes for better.
Keep you posted. -

***updates (HIDEVOLUTION) - Reseller
So after initially placing the order I placed the transfer and got the info for transfer of payment screen shot and sent back to the Order Verification online customer service by email.
After 2 DAYS I've received a confirmation of the screen shot and have been notified they will be awaiting payment.
Everything still going smoothly the response time was a little off but that's an easy exception because it wasn't outrageous. Monday is coming and my payment should be in.
Make me proud HIDEVOLUTION.
Thanks again to everyone tuning in on my first laptop purchase and first time choosing As reseller. I hope this will guide future buyers of their first or 5th laptop and I will continue to set the bar for individuals ordering from usa resellers. Next if lpc does intend upgrades I'll be ordering from them next and give my experience.
Have a good Sunday!Last edited: Feb 23, 2016 -
it is not Sager, but if you live in the US, I would recommend AVADIRECT. They are $200 ~ $300 cheaper than SAGER.
-
I appreciate the recommended company but not only do I want to hear your recommendation I want to know why and your experience etc. To help aid myself and future buyers of clevo builds or for any reseller laptops.
I can go to Walmart and get plenty of items at a cheaper price but take into consideration lines, economical reasoning, distance, quality, service etc. etc. ....target may be the better option hands down so keep that in mind thanks.(just given you an example)
*******warning******I don't know if you guys can see that link but I'm not putting any links to things unless otherwise noted and I'll tell you what they are. Just FYI because it's strange I'm seeing Walmart have a link. To skim resources...odd. Well just a heads up.Last edited: Feb 22, 2016 -

I know technically speaking one more day should be decent enough for my transfer to go through
but I've decided to test customer service with HIDevolution order verification process.
I sent the below email out to them and still no answer.

Perfect so like I said above it was just a test but to my suprise somebody must be working overtime because I've got an email confirming payment only 2 business days. (Payment confirmed end of 2nd business day- wire transfer) shout out to everyone over at HIDevolution I'm impressed thus far.
Another email was sent from order customer service saying no need for further action and pretty much hold on tight .
HIDevolution pre-production started 2-22-2016 clevo build.
Anybody have questions anything id love to give the best insight on my experience. So far so good.

Update- HIDEVOLUTION reseller.
I didn't have time last night but I wanted let everyone know I did contact HIDevolution in regards to my order being put in Pre-production.
I was told it is going to take 5 days to assign a tech and parts check and building and after the 5 days 1-2 days of thoroughly testing it and off it ships. Which in turn will be another 2 business days for shipping.
This at least gives some perspective into an order of a clevo considering I was told they have all the parts necessary for the build and I'm a few cities away from company fir shipping time.
Service has always been quick for calling In comparison to an email. Great service everytime. So far so good before and after sale.
I'll keep you posted on any changes or updates that may occur. Thank you all for your time.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

jrsx2689 likes this. -
Your right. I'm a little anxious and excited and worried all in one but I didn't get any update yet from HIDevolution, only like I said in an earlier post that a tech should be assigned today but nothing yet.
For @Ted@HIDevolution reference for HIDevolution: I just want to share something for future reference for the good of the company and others here that are reading this...... After my initial order I wasnt exactly told any shipping ETA or given any documents in my email stating a time frame. ( i had to call to get the best guess)
With that it mind it would be a good idea to inform customers with this information especially if a customer's order plans to take longer than expected for whatever reason. No customer should be hunting down there order and have no clue to an ETA and have minimal communication.
That is not towards HIDevolution but for reference for any and all resellers because I've noticed that a topic throughout the forum and I won't say which companies but it seems like it's common especially after sale.
HIDEVOLUTION had been outstanding and I'm just anxious with everything. I'll be filling everyone in soon enough once I get an update thanks for your time.Last edited: Feb 26, 2016Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

I was initially told that my system would ship within 2 days of receiving it from Eurocom, then I called, they said the system was shipped and received by them, then I call again being worries because it was 4 PM on a Friday, and I'm thinking, no way they can do all the quality checks, checking the screen for light bleeding, dead pixels, prema BIOS, etc and have it shipped before 6 PM (their time)......but the tech girl (Vivian) stayed overtime for me till she finished everything and shipped it and gave me the tracking number on that same day so I didn't have to wait over the weekend.
Just call them brojrsx2689 likes this. -
Update: I did contact them last night and the particular person you mentioned above did get back to me and said Monday Tuesday so it's still good stuff and I appreciate all their efforts and if need be they are only a drive away from me.
Is there a forum for prema BIOS? I'm curious to what exactly that entails. Personally never heard of it. Good to fill myself in now. -

Update Monday night.
HIDevolution!
So I've been a little busy but I wanted to update everyone on my order.
If you been following I've been in contact here and there and have been pointed out that they are aiming to ship Monday with Tuesday being the latest.
Okay so that's fine and I appreciate it being email that I was updated with my order but one thing that concerned me was my order status hasn't changed since it went into to pre-production and yet from @Ted@HIDevolution
He assured me that I should expect it to stay in pre-production for 5 days and that Friday and even today I haven't seen a change at all so this in turn has me knocking on the door with HIDevolution trying to find answers again. I'd at least want them to use there system so I can updated accordingly. A little concerned and thrown off with it all but tomorrow they claim it should be shipped and they should send me tracking but I'm more concerned if it was tested or what because I'm a first time buyer and have no clue to what the process is to began with.
Just a little let down with the companies own use of its ETA service it is a little rough around the edges and at least they can read this and take it into account for future references. I've emailed Vivian notifying them of the why it was never updated after it went into pre production.... I'll keep you posted.
*****keep in mind they have updated me via email reassuring on the ETA for shipment my point above is why they opted out in using the ETA system which in turn had me having to call or email. That's all.
Does anyone know the the stages it's suppose to cycle through?Last edited: Feb 29, 2016 -

I was merely concerned that my status never changed and order was left in pre production through my order.I didn't down HIDevolution but it's just a honest concern from a first time buyer.
I'm new to the whole bit and when you are new you got tons of questions especially if let unanswered.
But no worries I do believe I am in good care just my true experience and feelings on things and after my email I woke up to emails from HIDevolution letting me know it will be shipped off tomorrow night.
I just can't wait to give it a video review and unboxing video one that will shed more light to customers.

PS: I ordered a Silicon Lottery 6700K CPU that is guaranteed to overclock to 4.8GHz from HIDevolultion as my current CPU is a very bad overclocker. They should ship it out to me next year.
Oh I ordered it already delidded for $565 USD so it's immediately ready to be installed.
That isn't on their website as the CPU comes with no warranty since it's delidded but it is upon my request.jrsx2689 likes this. -
Thank You for creating this thread OP.
I have been a long time lurker, and have been researching and looking into buying a clevo P870 for almost a over a month now. At least until 5:50PM PST today evening.
This was right after i went through @Phoenix 's review a second time. And then i saw your thread, decided to give them a call (I was kinda avoiding CA based sellers because of the taxes). Took me like 5 mins of talking to @Ted@HIDevolution (sorry for keeping you at office for 20 extra mins D: ) and i was sold.
I mean this is after exchanging emails and talking to a lot of the sellers like XoticPC, AVADirect and Mythlogic. If it was not HIDEvolution it was going to be Mythlogic for sure. But the main problem with my order is that i needed it somewhat faster than anyone was ready to get it ready. Not the fault of any of the sellers. Just how tight my schedule is.
(Again nothing against other resellers, but HIDEvolution seems to be a tad bit ahead)
The best part of talking to Ted was that fact that how fast he was able to get me a quote and a price match, he did what other sellers take at least 1-2 days do, in under 15 mins.
My apologies if im harping on about what is already common knowledge, but come on, going from being uncertain about ,like 3+ sellers and placing the order after talking to a rep in under 1 hour.
End of the day, i ended up paying a few extra dollars because of the taxes, but its barely over what the others are offering. But no one was ready to commit to anything.
Ill probably create a full review thread once i get the machine. For now, here is what i ordered -
I just wish i had the time to order the machine with the Prema BIOS, i might bug them in a few months to get it done.jrsx2689 and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

Congratulations! Awesome choice. I'm sure you will be more than happy
And it's great you didn't go with Mythlogic, here is my review about them:
1) I had a friend who had ordered a P870DM-G from Mythlogic (Mythlogic Phobos 8715S), he then made a mistake by flashing the latest stock Clevo BIOS thinking it was better only to discover that now his BIOS has 0 customization options or overclocking options. So he thought no big deal, he contacted their technical support thinking they would send him the Mythlogic BIOS. The head of tech support named Josh started asking him lots of questions regarding his order number, serial number, name of the person who paid for it, etc. It was like an interrogation. He then explained that it was a gift so he doesn't have the order number but he gave them the serial number and even a screenshot of it from the actual laptop.
After 3 days with no response, he calls Josh who was very rude and seemed annoyed as to why he was calling him. Then Josh said that they need time to send him the BIOS.
1 week later, nothing, so he emails again.... no reply for 1 weeks, then he emails and calls, he was given the same BS about they need time to compile the BIOS in a package that he could install......
2 weeks later, nothing, then he finally gave up and is still running the stock CLEVO BIOS 1.05.02
I know the guy personally he lives here in Dubai as well.
2) Before purchasing my Eurocom Sky X9, I thought of getting a Mythlogic again, I called their sales team and some dude answered who didn't have an upbeat tone or showed any interest to my business as a potential customer, I felt like I was talking to a robot.
I then asked how long would it take from the time of order till you actually ship the system, he replies, 15 business days. I'm like whaaaat? why so long? he says we are swamped with orders.
Apparently they have so much arrogance now that they have so many orders/business coming through. I for one will never want to deal with this company EVER,Last edited: Mar 2, 2016bloodhawk likes this. -
But wow that experience sounds rather annoying. I was in talks with xoticpc and avadirect over the phone, both seemed polite. But only talked to Mythlogic over chat and email, which seemed normal enough. But I really don't get the 15-20 days build time.
But the main Main thing I loved about dealing with Ted was the fact that he likes to be involved with the customers.
I updated him about my order and got a reply back from him around 11:30 pm, goto sleep already!
But let's see how things go.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Man this Ted works 24/7, yesterday he sent me an email at 4 AM telling me that the delidded Silicon Lottery CPU that I ordered should arrive within a week. I ordered that separately but through them rather than from Silicon Lottery directly, Why? simply because I trust them and would rather them have the CPU and test it before it ships all the way to Dubai and I end up getting a non-working CPU

BTW, good choice you made to go with the Intel AC8260 like I did and the desktop class GTX 980. I had a previous P870DM-G before with SLI and I didn't like the microstutering and bad support for SLI titles recently. Also, the Intel AC8260 is much more stable than the Killer AC1535 in terms of connectivity, not once had I had a dropped connection with it
When you get your machine, check these:
4.2GHz overclock on all cores with no over-heating
