    2070 with xp home, retailer recommendations?

    Been lurking long enough here, need to ask as I have read lots and found no answer. This is a good forum with lost of good info if you dig a bit. It led me to want a Sager .


    anyone know a retailer with this combo I need a new laptop and it has to be under $1300 but still have power to do CAD, GIMP, admin forums, (code) edit music and surf etc. The 2090 is just a bit too expensive the way I would like it.

    here is my base of what I want
    any HD bigger than 40 is fine my external hold music and photos
    15.4 screen
    2 gig ram
    dvd+/- writer
    good internal wireless card
    blue tooth
    4 year lap top

    I am no gamer graphic accelerators do not matter but resolution does

    Well discountlaptops.com and agearnotebooks.com both sell the Sager NP2070(might be more in the Clevo Guide) but they dont have the option for XP home but you could always buy and install it yourself.

    You should also check out the Dell Latitude D830 or Lenovo Thinkpad T61 or HP Compaq 6710b. These notebooks should be built better(magnesium alloy chassis +shock mounted hdd etc etc) then the Sager NP 2070 and should be more durable which should last longer(with proper care any notebook can last "long") and the i think the latitude and HP Compaq comes with a 3 year limited warranty.

    Also fill out the FAQ and post it in the "what notebook should i buy" section of the forum.
