Did your 2090 come with Wireless Select Switch installed?
Seems like the _only_ thing it does is add a system tray icon telling you if your wireless switch is on or off. Seems more like an internal development tool to me... if I don't find any other uses for it, it's gone.

It makes the physical wireless switch on the front of the laptop work. Without it you won't be able to turn the wireless card on and off. So it'd be a good idea to leave that installed.

Err...I didn't install it and the wireless switch on my laptop works. I think all it does is give a notice when you flip the switch on and off.

Yea, I installed Vista myself on it and it was working before installing the software. It's probably a physical switch that shuts off power to the wireless card. I guess the program is pretty much useless. There's an indicator light next to the switch anyway.

The program is used to configure weather or not you want bluetooth and wireless or either/or. Carefull though, changing this changes the software hardware inside the switch not ur computer. So if you ever want to change it back, you have to use the software; reformatting/uninstalling will NOT change it back to its default. If you're sure you'll want just wireless, or bluetooth+wireless on whenever the switch is on, then just set it to that and then uninstall the software using programs/features.

O ok. I didn't get bluetooth so that settles it for me. Thx.
