ok, my issue is: it will start, it'll go through the XP load-up screen and show the fingerprinter reader in the top left corner like it's taking me to the log in screen. then i get a blue screen saying with full page of text detailing an error. not code or anything. i can't read much because it's only on screen for less then a second.

then it tries again, goes to the Sager bootup screen with the phoenix crap, then xp-load up. it just continues.

    any ideas?

i can get into the main phoenix screen, with the BIOS, (at least i think that's what it is).

See Hirush's comment first. If AHCI is already off (and it should be if you've been able to use XP at all), try the following:

Try testing your RAM with Memtest86.

To test your RAM, please download Memtest86 from:
    http://memtest.org/download/1.70/memtest86+-1.70.iso.zip

Extract this file, then use a program like Nero or DeepBurner to burn the .ISO image to a CD-R (make sure you use the "Burn Image to Disc" option, rather than dragging and dropping the ISO onto a CD).

Once the CD-R has burned, boot your computer off of this CD-R (you may have to go into your BIOS to change the DVD boot priority to number one). Memtest will run continually until you press "Escape" to stop it. I suggest running for at least 4 hours.

There will be an error-readout in the lower-right corner of the information display.

If errors are found, try booting off of a single SODIMM (if you have two). If no errors are found, you will probably need to reload XP.
