without closing the laptop? Right now I have power profile to do nothing when I close it so that it can keep running jobs with the screen off. Is there a way to do it without closing the lid?

I think you can do this through power profile. Select turn-off monitor after a certain minutes. It's through the power profile, and then below that there are a few drop down menu to choose this.

Cool thanks! Cool that it doesn't need an installer.

    No problem.

I know it's a great little thing. I've been using it for a year now.
