Occasionally, I'd say 5 or 6 different times in the past week that I have had my 2090, the finger reader application will suddenly be eating up a massive 1-2 gigs of ram by itself. I can fix the problem by simply closing the program and restarting it, but it will randomly happen again. Anyone experience a similar problem or know how to fix this? I use vista 64.

I had exactly the same problem as you. BTW, i have a sager np2090. I fixed the problem by downgrading from Vista 64-bit to Windows XP 32-bit. alot of problems including this one just went away. No joke. It seems that the software is incompatible with the vista.

I'm having the same problem too. It seems that over time the software is slowly eating up RAM. Based on the limited searches, I can't seem to find a solution that doesn't require me to switch over to Vista 32 bit. I have some issue with doing that only because of my personal (need to evole the software to 64 bit) preference.
    Caution, Drunk rant:
Although going to Vista 32bit is the easy solution, it doesn't help put pressure on software developers to develop software that will run on 64 bit systems since all systems will eventlly go there (if not, beyond). I know this is not the forum for this discussion but growth/progess doesn't come without some struggle. I wish companies would struggle a little bit to produce products for the next generation.
Anyway, I'm eager to see some solution that doesn't require me to reformat my system to the 32 bit version.

Lets not blame 64 bit for everything. I'm on 64 bit Vista ultimate and psqltray.exe is taking up 7,032K of memory. Did you install from the sager dvd? I just used the DVD, not a downloaded driver.

    HotBlood,
I purchased my laptop from Xoticpc and did not install anything from the supplied disks (using 64 bit Vista Home Prem.). Are you suggesting that I look at the disk and try to install something that they didn't? If so, can you point me in the right direction (i.e. file name). Also, I agree with your "Lets not blame 6 bit for everything." Thanks Drunk Bastard Krazy333.

O ok, I got my laptop with no OS so I had to install everything myself (took me 3 tries but that's another story). Look on the Sager DVD and find a folder called XX_fingerprint, where XX is some number that I forgot. But just search for fingerprint and it should show up. If you install, make sure you uninstall the current one first.
