I'm having an issue with my bluetooth. I'm trying to figure out if it's my headset or the laptop. It appears the laptop recognizes that the headset is there. It will momentarily say it's connected but then the connected notification disappears and the headset is not functioning. Any ideas?

Is it able to connect to other bluetooth devices?
-
That's the only bluetooth device I have so no way to check that.
-
Hi check to see you have the latest drivers for the bluetooth, what brand is the headset?
-
According to windows they are the latest drivers. It's a Plantronics headset.

Here are instructions on pairing the headset try this first

Then
If it indicates connected and then loses the connection you would need to test it with another device to see if it also drops the connection, so you can eliminate the possibilities.
Do you have a cordless phone in the room, a wireless network or X10 home automation, all of these may possibly affect your connection. -
Thanks for the info, will give it a try when I get home tonite and see what's going on.
