I have always had Sager/Clevo/Eurocom laptops and was looking for some extra power cords. I would like to have a few around the house so I don't have to lug the brick around.

I've noticed some HP bricks with the exact same specs (230w, 19.5V, 11.8A) but with a single-pin style power plug.

    Here is an example http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-AC-Adapt...177735?hash=item282b3e0947:g:cNcAAOSwCU1YnQTk

Does anyone know if it's possible to either buy an adapter or even re-wire one of these?

Unfortunately, that 2p->4p adapter has the wrong gender. Might swap the DC socket to a female Kycon though, it'd work fine then.

Where did you get that '12V/5V' information from? Almost every laptop is ~19V, barring a few low-watt ultrabooks and other sff types.

You can use the connectors for whatever voltages you like but as above this machine is 19V and ground only.
