I just got my computer last week and have been having a strange issue with my SSD. I have noticed that my boot experience goes in sort of a pattern of 3..
First boot: I'll see the Sager logo with the spinning circle loading thing, and then it goes to a black screen and hangs up.
Second boot: I'll see the Sager logo, and it will go to the black screen again, except this boot it goes into the windows login screen after about 5-10 seconds. This entire boot cycle and logging into windows takes generally 15-20 seconds.
Third boot: I'll see the Sager logo for a brief second, and it goes straight to my log in screen. The entire boot cycle and logging into windows on this cycle takes generally 3-5 seconds.
The cycle repeats itself every boot with nearly the same delays in each boot.
I ran the Samsung magician program to optimize my windows for SSD use and it doesn't seem to have made a difference. Also, my benchmark is horrible for this drive. I am using the latest firmware update.

Let me try to help you, so your ssd isn't optimize.., all you need to do is install the Intel rapid, did you have that program in your computer ?
With that program, in my case version 12.8.0.1016 the speed of my Samsung 840 pro 128gb is like this:

First check if you have the last version of Intel rapid and if don't have just install ! -

I have a Sager 8130 with an 82802 controller hub. when I go to the intel site, it doesn't show that as a compatible hub controller. it shows the 82801. can it really be that I can't use the Intel RapidStorage technology driver with my 840 Pro??
WTH??? I just ran the Intel System ID Utility and it doesn't even show a local hard drive. it DOES show a combined space of 1.1TB which would be the combined drive space of the SSD plus my external HDD. I'm wondering if the utility can't see local hard drives as such because of the controller hub model?
