Well, at the moment it is summer here in the Netherlands. My room temperature is 27c celcius. When encoding mp4 using handbrake tool, the laptop hangs completely. Idle temps are 62c. When encoding @100%@4 cores temperature rises 69c with full fans using a q6700. The AC adapter is frying. Anyone has these same problems? I am thinking switching to a Duo Core CPU E8500 before my entire laptop bricks.

I'd look into finding a better after-market ac adapter with more capacity - the Clevo-provided adapters just don't seem to perform particularly well as a general matter.

Not in any great detail; however, a quick google brings up a company called PowerStream, which advertises some ac adapters for Sager systems on this webpage.

There's also a company called Franmar International that offers, among other things, a 150W adapter, although I don't know if it would work with the D901C.

And, here's a search page showing a large number of other ac adapter manufacturers, for what it's worth. :D
