Was wondering, I can get 2x250GB HD for less $$ than 1 x 320GB. My question would be, is this because the second HD makes the whole notebook heavier? Any disadvantage to having 2 HD vs 1 bigger one?

    THanks!

2 hard disks so you can back them up. That is recomended.

It will take a little more power but What I would do is keep them in RAID or back it up every few days

weighs slightly more and uses a bit more power, but advantages are having increased performance, space and security.

2 HDDs will add to the weight of the laptop, decrease battery life, but will also increase storage, and if RAIDed, performance.
