Hi all just a quick question, does the sata power connector offer 12v for 3.5'' drives? i know the power esata doesnt but im wondering if the internal one has because i want to power my 3.5'' drive and was thinking of just getting an 22pin extension if it has a 12v to power 3.5'' drives

No I don't think it does. But you could try it.

If I had a 3.5" sata drive I would try it on laptop motherboard... You could do the same. Use a laptop you don't care about or can disassemble and run easily. I'm saying without an extension cable, so you'd probably have to have the type of connector that sticks off the edge of the board.
