I recently received my Sager 2090 ::cheers:: I have a 160GB HDD (which is reflected correctly, saying I have 149GB) but i understand windows likes to eat systems. However, before putting anything big on my computer I was down to 110 GBs... This baffles me. i like my gigabytes. I have fear, supreme commander, oblivion, and MS office on it right now. and I'm down to 87.4. Does anyone know where this space went to? I also have a few little things, mozilla, AIM etc.. but that shouldn't account for nearly 40 missing GB's. Even system restore doesn't suck up that much space. Any ideas/solutions would be much appreciated :)
I'm on vista business 64bit btw.

Vista uses about 10-15GB, there is probably a backup partition that uses another 3-5, the virtual RAM also takes up a few more GBs, as well as the page file for a little more. Then, VB also does those shadow backups...which will eat your drive like mad if left unchecked.

Also you lose more Gigs from System Restore, Page Files, and Prefetch/Precaches.
