    Hi all,

    My old D900F works with a 220W PSU (20V x 11A).
    The X7200 works with a 300W PSU (20V x 15A).

Does the X7200 PSU will work with the old D900F ?
The connector on motherboard seems to be the same:

Dunno as amperage is different b/w the two, this could cause some problems. It would really depend if the resisters/conductors could take the new amperage.

However, this may be all moot. The image you linked to is for the x8100, not the x7200. My x7200 has MALE pins inside the case, and the x7200 PSU has a FEMALE connector. If the D900F image is correct, it has a FEMALE connector inside the case.

    Two types of D900F motherboard.

Later version has Male DC-in jack which accepts x7200 adapter's Female connector.

If the voltage is the same it will work without problem. I used the D901C on a Fujitsu for example. For safety you can check if the + and - wholes are in the same position on the D900F and the x7200.

Yeah you're right, the picture was not good. The X7200 got a MALE PIN in the motherboard, my D900F get a FEMALE PIN in the motherboard.

Do you know if there is an adaptator female to male ?

yes the X8100 has two video cards, and by the way I think that the D900F will not need more than a 220W. On the other hand, I'm not sure if the X8200 PSU is MALE, i think it's also FEMALE like the X7200 PSU; The new versions of the D900F were shipped with exactly the same X8200 PSU 220W 19V 11.57A (6-51-X8102-010).

lol i guess that they weren't using 100W cards at the time.
