I'm having trouble overclocking both at the same time. CPU and GPU's both perform well overclocked when not in tandem. Power supply issue?

Could be a power issue. What computer do you have? Do you have dual AC Adapters?

P370Em as I said in the title. I don't know exactly what a dual AC adapter is (plugs into 2 outlets?) but I'm using the adapter that came with the computer.

Sorry I overlooked the title , this model did not have dual AC Adapters available.

Could you be more specific to your problems. Is it overheating, tripping the AC Adapter, or what exactly.

I can run 3DMark 11 or 3DMark Vantage with the CPU or GPU overclocked but my system freezes when I overclock both at the same time.

While it does not officially support it you can actually use the power box to link two 330W bricks to it, you may want it if pushing the system hard.

Is this a mod or is it something I can purchase?

The power converter box is something you would buy.

All I could find on this was a DIY mod on techinferno. Can you please link me to the relevant information?

    Much appreciated

With the part number you can shop around though a fake of such a niche object is very unlikely sso you don't really have to worry too much about the place.
