I just downloaded the basic version of 3dmark11 and ran a benchmark test with 720p (1080p is only available if you upgrade) and all the standard settings that the free 3dmark comes with.
How are these scores compared to your systems?
3dmark score = P3205
Graphics = 2933
Physics = 6301
Combined = 3078
Graphics1 = 13.54 FPS
Graphics2 = 14.05 FPS
Graphics3 = 18.31 FPS
Graphics4 = 8.77 FPS
Physics = 20.0 FPS
Combined = 14.32 FPS
It said that these scores were comparable to similar systems. So I guess that means that my system is in good shape? This is the first time I've tried this so I don't really know how good these scores are. How did you guys do on these tests?

Those scores are quite close to the average (just a touch higher than most), so there's nothing to worry about. Here's a link to the notebookcheck review which gives a whole host of other benchmarks for that card:

10-20 fps??? That's crap!
And thanks for the link. I definitely love notebookcheck.
Not that you probably needed anymore, but I gave you some rep =D enjoy! -
My P170HM does ~39xx in 3DMark

Back to OP: 3Dmark is designed to be tough on the hardware. High end desktop cards in SLI are supposed to struggle with it. That's just how they keep the benchmark relevant for a long while. -
there something obviously wrong with my physics score
