    hello,

    i just upgraded my Clevo P370EM3 from a gtx 680m to a gtx 1060, its working fine with modded drivers but when ever i install the 3d vision driver after the installation was over i get the following error "this laptop's panel is not qualified for 3d vision". now 3d vision was working fine on 680m before the upgrade.

    any of u guys managed to get it running, or any ideas?

    thanks

    3d vision is not supported with another GPU. It will fail the support check.

    anyway to go around the check? or mod the driver so it sees the gpu as acceptable 1?

    Black pcb------>msi card
    Green pcb----->eurocom card

    Pretty sure 3D Vision isn't supported on internal panels since Maxwell.

    Nvidia killed mobile 3D Vision years ago and nobody has gotten it working again because it's practically impossible.

    whats the question ? Thanks for the mention though.

    Pascal cards have coils near the GPU, when modding heatsinks for them make sure to plan accordingly and take into consideration those, or you will end up with uneven contact and maybe even crack the GPU die corners.

    3d vision officially died with maxwell: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html

    I retrofitted the 120hz LG display+eDP cable to get my pascals displaying on P370EM internal panel, didn't think for a second about the 3D emitter hardware

    As for green vs black PCB. My experience is with 1070s but the MSI 1070 (black pcb) - even with the hardware bugs of the early rev v1.0 cards - is far superior engineering and components to the eurocom/gecube (green pcb) cards. I wouldn't raise power limit on the green pcb one without serious technical analysis of the VRM first

    the question is, is there a way to get the bypass the 3D Vision driver hardware check? so i can run 3D vision on my P370EM3 with gtx 1060 "upgraded from 680m" with internal emitter + 120hz screen.
    it used to run on the 680m before but i get the following error after the driver finish "this laptop's panel is not qualified for 3d vision"

    also could have used the info about the coils near the gpu, took me long time to figure it out, then i managed to grind the heatsink and get it to work fine.

    what kind of hardware bugs do u get?, also i have a problem were my card were it doesnt thermal throttle at all, it runs at 88c max and i made it reach 92 one time for testing, when it reached 91 the fan kicked on max speed and droped the temp, but the gpu it self didnt thermal throttle at all. what temps does urs thermal throttle at? and any ideas?

    thanks

    Random crashes at >1.013V so afterburner curve needs to be modified to keep it at or below that (still boosts to over 2000mhz at up to 200W power limit so not an impediment to performance at all)

    Also can't get drivers beyond Nov 2016 installed (when msi last signed drivers for the Vortex G65 the cards are from)

    To be honest, I have never looked into this, no one has ever shown an interest in that before that I've picked up. I myself never cared for it either.
    I would assume"No" unless we can share some info that suggests otherwise. Terribly sorry mate.

    What card is this ? That's relatively higher voltage then normal depending on the card if I recall correctly. I think most operate around 08v-0.9v these days

    It's a similar situation to g-sync checking so it's not easy to bypass.
