Hi guys, Its boxing day tom, I saw a very nice deal on one of the TV's "Samsung PN59D550 59" 3D Plasma TV" and its only $1k. I was wondering if I would be able to watch 3D movies on the TV with my laptop as the source (Sager 8170 3D-ready) ??? If it is, is it possible through HDMI? or DVI?![]()
Thanks!!

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Hdmi, and you need 3dtv play from nvidia instead of the 3dvision kit.
Then be sure to download the update for it, but before so check if the tv is supported by 3dtv play otherwise you will not be able to use 3d advanced settings such cross fading adjustments and 3d dot sight
Well you can use them using an hacked monitor driver as I did anyway, I guess that shouldn't be a problem at all.
You need only an hdmi cable at least 1.3c or 1.4a. Anything above 1.3b has enough bandwidth for 3d display. -
Thanks Kingpinzero for that informative response. I read through some sites and found out also that i can still use my 3d vision glasses.
thanks! Hope everythingwill work flawlessly.

You would think they would have a solution like using two hdmi cables, but the tv companies are not very creative. anyways
If you are looking for a 42" 3dtv with the cheap passive glasses i recommend the toshiba 42tl515u, although im not thrilled with the method that is use to deliver the 3d, the color and contrast are unsurpassed in its price range, and it has netflix and a bunch of other goodies built in.
