I just bought a stick of 1GB RAM to put in my 5790 when it comes, bringing the total to 3GB. I'm going to be running Windows XP on this system, is it going to recognize the RAM and is there anything special I need to do to configure it?

    Thanks

Shouldn't be anything special, just pop it in and Windows should automatically detect a change in physical memory.

It should be - especially if you don't have much else loaded when you game.

It should be fine as long as you match or exceed 2GB of RAM. The bottleneck in gaming power is the GFX card.

"The bottleneck in gaming power is the GFX card"

Thats pretty interesting since the 7950 GTX is the most powerful card out right now. I guess that means the new santa rosa chipset coupled with the dual processors and RAM are proportionately stronger.
