Haven't done a run in 3dmark 11 yet so I am not sure what to expect, with a score like 3000, does the benchmark look really choppy?

seeing as a 6970 is slightly stronger than a 460 from what I understand, how can it score almost double what the 460m scores?

Looks like the 6970M is faster than the GTX 485M in this benchmark (the 485M scores can be seen in the results section of the 3dmark webpage). Kinda strange since I'm sure the nVidia cards have stronger tesselation.

Of course it is faster than 485m. Thats what i predicted as well. Look Here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...er-w-amd-6970m-out-feb-1-a-4.html#post7075457

The thing is nvidia dont want you to know that ati has a better gpu thats 500 dollars cheaper.

U should also need to know that this tesselation myth is no longer true for the 6xxx series. AMD made sure of that so they tweaked the tesseleation engine in series 6000

So by all means, go by 485m sli ppl !!

Well, just because it does well in that benchmark doesn't mean it's overall a better GPU. Right now, it looks like the 485M is faster in most games, though the 6970M system used for comparison has a weaker CPU (740QM vs 2920XM). After the 6970M is finalized for the market, you'll probably see it trade blows with the 485M but will be the more popular card of the two due to the price.

For some reason AMD's are doing better on 3D Mark 11 because with the same clocks i do 21,337 gpu on vantage on 11 is only 5047

Is this an overclock score ? Cause i dont know the stock freq, a gpu z window in the screenshot might have cleared that.
    If theres no overclock, then:
Wow there really is a big difference betwen the 460m sli and 470m sli, as price suggests.

Also, my stock numbers in vantage, with physics on: are
    13582 GPU, 37595 CPU

Wait, you have RGB 1080p panel in the x7200 ?
