Hey I'm curious if my results from 3dmark 2k6 are what I should be expecting with my system specs:

    PC Microworks Blackhawk
    Intel Core 2 Duo 6700 2.6ghz
Geforce Go 7950GTX Forceware Version 94.22
    2 gigs of ram
    XP Pro

All the game tests ran 30fps or lower, one game even 1 FPS. Results was 5486

Also, Bioshock ran at lower FPS than expected at 1600x1200 with a few settings turned off and still noticed mouse lag and relatively low FPS, is this normal of the type of GPU I have or is there something I am missing such as new drivers or settings to tweek? Thanks

You use the default test settings (same as freeware version)? Those use a screen resolution of 1280x1024.

your screen is very high res...it would be a great accomplishment to run bioshock on fairly high settings without some mouse lag. If you want to upgrade drivers... www.laptopvideo2go.com is awesome (although Im sure youre probably familiar with it)

Yeah, I believe ForceWare 163.44 was released specifically for BioShock optimization.

Ah, well I downloaded rivatuner and tweeked the core and memory to your specs, Xenupy(core clock 595, memory 765) and Bioshock runs much much better now there is little to not lag at all on at 1600x1200. temperature when I left Bioshock after 5 minutes of gaming was 64C, is that very high? I don't know the max limit of the GPU temperature. Let me know if that is too high, Thanks

With the overclocking I am running a score of 5813 on 3dmark 2006, not bad :)

after playing 5 minutes in farcry I peaked at 70C, does that sound too high or is that within acceptable limits?

Remember to use the Fn+1 to toggle the fans to on full for best cooling.

Umm, I have a 9260 WUXGA+ with an E6600 CPU, and a single 7950GTX 512MB. I use the 163.44 video drivers from laptopvideo2go.com. I overclocked the video card to 575/835 with ATITool while running 3D games (auto detection). I also use RMClock to turn off C1E (Think "Intel Speedstep") and manage voltages/multipliers there.

Basically with the above things idle for me at:
    CPU: 45 C (not F!)
GPU: ??? Not sure but only one faint fan is on while idling so they arent 70C

    Point is:
I get just under 6000 in 3dMark 06 with default demo mode. Not a bad score for one 7950. My Clevo M590K (Sager 5950) 7900GS 512MB SLI'd with Turion64 ML-44 got about the same score and made a bit more noise, especially when gaming.

    ***
Though I must say, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SPACE UNDER THE 9260!
If you don't the airflow can be easily blocked and make the computer overheat, and the CPU and video cards will go into a "safety" clock range so it doesnt overheat. This will affect things dramatically and make the fans spin loudly and the performance miserable.

    zodttd,

If you have a D900C/D901C, remember:
    - that you can use the Fan Toggle (Fn+1) to switch all the fans to Max Speed (constant, not annoying)
    - you can use RivaTuner to monitor GPU temps (in-game as well)... the new version now fully supports Vista x64.
