Actually can't for the life of me get it to run. It ran once and froze, now it just says could not profile system info. Tried everything to get it to work. So I'm just holding off until it comes time for another OSRI.

I think its fair Garandhero. We paid $850 less and lost 1900 points in 3DMark? Fair enough to me! :)

I'm well over maxed out on mine! I'd have to find a way to get 1.15v to run natively in the vBIOS., find out whats up with the ICS voltage chip thats preventing the CPU/GPU combo overclock, improve my cooling, and find some way to get PhysX to work on the card! Unless you got any idea?!? I'm always up for an ounce more power!

Not at all? Have you run SpeedFan to get your clock generator information and plugged that into SetFSB? I know the Q6700 is very overclock able on my Striker Extreme. Took it up to 4.02GHz. If I had a 9262, I'd find a way.

nah i havent tried that method. from what i have been hearing is that our bios are locked down hence no overclocking. but if setfsb does not require bios intervention then maybe i might give it a try.

Ya setFSB bypasses the BIOS. Even if it is locked. Give that a shot and let us know what you can clock up to! I'd start it at 3GHZ.

I am using setfsb to overclock my t7700 (2.4ghz) to 2.6ghz

boosted my 3dmark score from 8630 to 9220... quite nice imo ~ and still running very cool.

Oh ya OC of the CPU doesn't hardly generate any extra heat. Especially in the 45nm models. These CPU's have a thermal safe max operating temp of 105C, over boiling.

Garand keep in mind that since you are using this for gaming GPU OC will provide much better real life performance in games.

Ah, gl with it its fairly simple scary the first time you attempt it, at least it was for me. But if you use the bootable usb flash drive it is a piece of cake. Just remember to back up the original bios as if something goes wrong you will be without a display so you will have to type blind and flash the original bios back.

Ha ya scared me too. All these crazy warning everywhere about destroying the card! But after a good twenty or so flashes, I'm quite comfortable with it. Just don't use any other version of DOS to flash it. (FreeDOS...)

From a good friend of mine. Google. Just google setFSB, or if your feeling really good right now, click the link...

    setFSB: http://www13.plala.or.jp/setfsb/download/ver21/setfsb_2_1_69_2.zip

Keep in mind though that you are gambling your warranty when you overclock the CPU... if they find out that is :) And I'm sure the browse these forums from time to time...! I know we've got Justin and Don on here.

As long as you don't damage anything because of the OC it wont matter.

Give it a try and experiment with it. You never know. You can't really hurt anything.

Dazzyd, it is very tricky to OC the CPU in the 9262 mainly because they are desktop CPU. The program that audigy made was for mobile CPUS. Therefore it doesn't work at this time. Also the bios for it is very strict so many 9262 users were not able to OC their quads.
