I recently sent in my computer for screen repair after getting two stuck pixels. It's being sent back to me now after being repaired. I didn't have the warranty, so I had to pay for the repair.

Seeing as it's happened once, should I get the warranty for the new screen?

It's $75 - and if I can save the money, I'd like to - I also don't want to spend extra if it goes bad again though.

Unfortunately, that doesn't always work- they can at times be permanently stuck. The upside is that stuck pixels have at least a chance to be fixed, while dead pixels are just that- dead.

The problem is that dead or stuck pixels aren't always introduced in manufacturing- they can often come up unexpectedly during normal usage. A warranty protects against this, but it's very much personal opinion as to whether you think they're necessary or not.

I tried those many times, as well as the massaging and other fixes, none of them worked.

Trust me, I'd try everything before sending it in and spending 100+ just to get the screen fixed.

Do you think I should play it on the safe/expensive side and order the 45 day warranty?

I think the odds are in your favor... I mean I've owned over a dozen LCD devices and never seen a dead or stuck pixel

Yeah - I've owned 3 computers (two HPs and one Toshiba), and more than 6 handheld devices . Only 2 of those ~9 have ever gotten stuck or dead pixels before this.

You think I should take the chances?

Chance is not worth it? Or the warranty itself is not worth it?

Well, I guess I am - especially if the stuck pixel is green, it's impossible not to see it when watching movies or playing games, and it really gets to me.

Wish that warranty was for a year. Would definitely get it then... But 45 days? :p

It sounds like you've already made up your mind about it. Buy it so it'll give you some peace of mind.

For me, I notice more dust on my screen than dead pixels lol.

Im going to go without it. I've had 10+ devices with LCD screens, and only 2 have ever gotten dead/stuck pixels outside of my P151HM1.

I have a feeling I'll be fine. + MALIBAL said that they personally checked and calibrated this new screen, so it should be fine.

I purchased my laptop from Malibal.
After a week a stuck pixel showed up.
    Malibal replaced the screen.
    Malibal paid shipping (both ways).

    Worth it?

    You decide.

I'm selling some games for some cash, but I don't want to use it on some temporary safety from dead pixels...

I mean, if one shows up a day after the warranty, I'm stuck with it, and the 75$ would be for nothing. I still have 15 days left in the return policy as well..

Literally JUST got it back, and there's a stuck pixel in the very center of the screen. I haven't even used the calibration disk yet.

    Come on Malibal...
