I have a Logitech 5.1 audio system , but I can only make to work 2 speakers, does somebody know what am I doing wrong?

I connect the black cable into the blue jack, the green into the green, and the yellow into the pink one. Then at the Realtek manager settings, I set it to 5.1, but doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

So you are trying to get 5.1 analog...

and you enabled it in the Realtek manager.... I was not sure if this model supported multichannel analog out

I know it support digital 6-8 channel using SPDIF coax.

what player are you using to test it? (make sure the player is set to 6-channel audio output)

Well, I'm testing it inside Realtek Audio Manager, it shows a picture of the 5 speakers and a button to test them all, but only the front ones sound.

But like you said, maybe they are not supported through analog. In case this is impossible, is there a way to connect the X-530 system without buying an extra audio card?

If you are in Vista, try re-configure the speakers:

Have you remembered to set: Blue: Rear speakers, Green: Mid, Subwoofer, then Pink: Front speakers? I had to do that to make it work.

Thanks for all your help, I just made them work!

The only thing different with your set Cookie was the pink one for Mid-Subwoofer and green for Front speakers.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I can't get 5.1 to work with my NP5793 at all. When I plug all the jacks in...nothing happens. No audio comes out at all - notebook or external speakers. I also tried the SPDIF out - that doesn't do anything either.

I don't want digital out - I'd like the analog to work.

Okay, I got it to work - but boy, does 5.1 on this machine suck! The bass comes through really, really softly, and the center channel is thumping while the other channels barely do anything at all. The Audigy 2 ZS on my desktop really shines, and I never got the chance to notice!

you can control the sound quality if you use the Realtek Sound/Effect Manager.... use the equalizer.
