my network jack isnt recognizing my internet connection. my driver cd gives me the error "this driver cd may not suitable for your hardware or proper chipset and bus driver should be installed in advance." when the cd autoplays.

i've tried installing and reinstalling all of the lan and modem drivers from the cd and also off the sager website to no avail.

ive been using wireless the whole break, and now im settled back at my dorm and i find out the network jack doesnt work (internet connection works fine with my roommates laptop). man, just these little troubles are popping up for my 5320.

    Hm, interesting.

Disable the wireless (Fn + F10 I believe), and then see if that changes anything.

If that doesn't work . . . can you see the Ethernet device at all from the Device Manager? Right-click it and uninstall it if shows up, then reboot and use the drivers from the CD - it may be a software conflict.
